Can't get used to the recoil

I've been playing since beta with a little gap in there somewhere just before season 3 due to my PS5 not being able to handle more than 2 matches in one go.

But wtf is this new recoil system? Giving us maps like golmund and tsuru but the recoil doesn't even let you shoot across c on empire state properly. Like, it doesn't matter what attachments I use on any gun, I get beamed across the map with the VCR and I can't get 3 shots to land in the same area code even with tap firing by the time I'm dead.

I honestly don't know what to do at this point.

Strange. Ill be honest with you man, shooting/hitting targets at range is easier in this battlefield compared to any other battlefield ive played. Every gun is a laser with insane bullet velocity. Either sounds like a settings issue, or a skill issue

Tap fire at range or go semi if you need to, if you're using the vertical grips be mindful of the movement penalty while shooting or run the violet or blue lasers to mitigate that. Cryo barrel and the new compensated suppressors also may help. What guns are you using?

Gunplay in this game is really bad right now.
Ive been forcing myself to slug-only shotgun, and the way between matches Id have no issues to absolutely having someone feet away within ret avoiding my shots without trying, despite taking up my entire screen realestate, genuinely had me yelling at my PC.

Dogshit hit reg, dogshit netcode. Its not the recoil, its that this game genuinely cannot parse when bullets hit and how much damage they do in a consistent manner. Its abysmal.

Try the Kord or KTS, with foregrip, violet laser and if you still can’t handle it, a muzzle wich lowers recoil

If you still got issues either try sniping/DMR‘s.

And if you still can’t hit you shots, it might be best to put the game down and look for another genre

Weapon type and weapon build matters.

Weapons that are lasers at range: EF88, P90, KTS

Build: Build your weapon for sustained accurate fire or just watch a good youtube guide, attachments that help with recoil are mostly heavy ext barrel or cryo barrel, hybrid or long suppressors, violet laser, 30pt stubby (either one) or 35pt vertical grip.

But according to the m/k base, we don't even have recoil with pads.

I think the truth is : weapon level. All the clips you see, with zero recoil, are probably maxed buil.ds

Gunplay in this game is ass. The recoil system does not pair well with the bloom mechanics AND the recoil literally creates fake inputs that fight your input, causing inconsistent aiming during firing.

It is just horse shit. No way around it.

How many slurs you get on chat for using shotgun? Because people hate those things and it's always funny to see the rage

Best thing to do is go to the firing range, classic vertical and the new suppressor will bring down the recoil and tap at range

With high fire rate guns only every 3rd bullet registers when you are shooting someone

Tapfire and dont forget to activate aimassist.

Avoid magnified sights since they will magnify the recoil as well. It's much easier to pull down on the right stick when you have a 1x or 1.25x sight to control the recoil. I try to avoid going above 1.5x unless it's specifically a long range gun like the SOR or KTS

I pulled off a shot I thought for sure would get a reaction, but none yet actually.

But tbf, even at my best, Im only decent at the game, Im not rage inducing enough.

I was accused of cheating in BF4 with a shotgun once, only for someone in chat to remind the accuser I was, in fact, negative, so that was cool.

Use the L110 and throw on all precision boosting stuff, quite laser like if that’s what you want
