Banned from ECGN server

Hi, I just installed RTCW today through Steam. Followed the instructions in this thread to get it patched for multiplayer. Tried to connect to the ECGN Network 24/7 Beach server but I got rejected because punkbuster wasn't turned on. So I enabled punkbuster from the server browser screen, and tried again. This time I got a big "you have been banned from the server".

Is this a permanent ban or just like a stand-down for trying too many times to connect? How can I get it lifted?

Go to the forums that intarwebz linked to. MAA or someone there should be able to help you out. As far as the banned thing goes, it shouldn't be permanent and if it is one of the admins will take it off.
