Instagib Railgun Quake 3 server - must run on Linux

Hi all,

Im a Systems Engineer for an IT department, and am trying to get a Quake 3 server up and running.

This has been successful on ioquake3, however what I have been asked to do, is configure the server for an Instagib Railgun mod. Problem is, all existing instagib mods out there (instagib, instagib plus) do not work with ioquake 1.32 due to "client-server" mismatches. I have read this is due to old coding in the mods, so they are not compatible.

I was hoping someone has this running somewhere, and can direct me to a solution, whether it is a work around, or a different server client in order to run it.

I can a little, enough to do something like this. Thanks for the info! I would like to avoid having to code it, if possible, but if this is the only way, then so be it!
