The Nazis honestly feel more like generic goons than actual Nazis

I get that I'm complaining about a game series where there is ancient, space-god Jewish technology, they conquered two planets within two decades, every soldier is a part of the SS instead of the actual military, and on, to which I say: I wanna really kill Nazis. Aside from speaking German, there's honestly nothing really Nazi other than a few bit of dialogues. I feel like if the devs made the Nazis really, truly Nazis, like true insight into their evil ideology, I think that would make killing them feel a lot more satisfying. Also, I think it'd be awesome if we get to actually destroy Nazi stuff with the E button. I would love it if there was like an achievement for burning 88 Nazi flags, and breaking 14 portraits of some really evil Nazis.

A majority of Nazis were just goons though. Soldiers at least.

Now that isn't a defense against them but the game does feel pretty accurate in that the soldiers are doing what they're told to do, which is evil nazi stuff and also shoot at BJ.

Good point - I guess I forgot a lot of Nazi soldiers didn't even know what the fuck they were being conscripted for. (Not that it justifies them committing fucking Genocide)

The Wehrmacht was disbanded in 1944 at Hitler's request, against the failed assassination plot during opération Valkyrie

In-game lore? Cause thats not true otherwise

‘The banality of evil’ springs to mind for the Nazi dialogue and as far as burning Nazi flags and what not, it’d be a bit redundant when we’re playing as an international terrorist who’s usually destroying the place he’s in already

The absolute gem of OP's name being "hate ethno-nationalists" in all caps complaining that the Nazis need to be eviler so he can gain more pleasure out of killing them made my day today

Thats because after WW2 Hitler wanted the SS to be The Army of Germany, since The SS is the para Military wing of The nazi party and hence utterly loyal to Hitler and The party

Unlike The regular army that was more loyal to the country of German

Eh I don’t really agree, despite what Reddit and bluesky might think, Nazis and evil people in general don’t spend their waking minutes fellating themselves about how evil they are and doing evil things. They spend most of their time (or spent for those back when) doing normal things like, eating, or farming, or working in a factory, or commuting, or courting, etc.

......you visit a concentration camp.....? Nazi medical abominations, wiping out an entire medical ward, killing doctors..... they literally make you fight a robot with the still living brain of one of the men you had to watch get brutally vivesected. Thats nothing to say of the audio lines you hear while doing sewer levels about neighbors reporting eachother for suspected malfeasance?

Yeah, plus, like, the overwhelming majority of Nazi soldiers were just grunts. Many of them weren’t fanatical about the ideology or willing to sacrifice themselves to protect the reich and the fuhror at all costs, they were more just apathetic to the suffering and/or trying to survive.

The old “we were just following orders” excuse gets a lot of pushback, but that’s mostly directed towards the more senior Nazi officers who used the excuse once they were caught and facing life in prison or execution for war crimes. Many of the grunt soldiers feared for their lives and the lives of their families if they didn’t blindly obey, so they just did as they were told.

When it was clear that the tide was turning on the European front, though, a lot of them outright refused to continue fighting. About a week before Hitler killed himself, he was trapped in his bunker with 1.5 million Russian soldiers closing in on him, and he ordered 500,000 German troops to head back to where he was and defend him. Knowing they would be slaughtered, they instead threw up white flags and surrendered to the allies.

I disliked TNC because of the way they dumbed down the nazi's. It felt good to win in TNO storywise, in TNC I felt like I was fighting versus the way a 4 year old would write how nazis were.

Or they're a satire account, considering the random dog-whistle in that post.
