I just picked up new order and new Colossus and I have, what I assume is a common question for you guys...

I have to choose who to be sacrificed. Now I've already done the usual ask Google AI and IGN route so see what exactly each choice truly means. But other than telling me it slightly changes the story/narrative and that one choice gives me lock pick and the other hotwire. I'm more curious about choice makes for the more fun slash entertaining experience.

Based on my research, it seems the younger guy, the one that saved me from the hound and the plane crash, wyatt I think. Seems to be with the "right" choice... Am I right?

I intend to play the game through more than once of course so I will definitely pick the other option next time. But since I picked up both games at once. I'm probably gonna move straight to new Colossus soon as I finish my first run here...

So is wyatt the best choice for me here?

Also, should I expect more choices like this further in the game or in the next game? Where my choice will rather greatly affect the narrative of the game?

If you say I should choose fergus and have a reason. Pls tell me. If enough people say it, or I see a compelling argument for fergus. I'll definitely change my gut instinct.

Also. Am I Punk for choosing the second to easiest difficulty? I'm ok with it, just curious.

I picked Wyatt first because he was younger. I’ll go with Fergus next time.

Fergus each and every time. Hes just too entertaining and it feels like less of a game without him.

I picked Wyatt first, too, and I think the characters introduced in his path are cooler

Choose whichever you morally agree with, if you can't decide then flip a coin. Wyatt is less experienced and young while Fergus is implied to have history with BJ and is generally more charming and adds a comedic element to the game. The main plot doesn't change drastically if you save one or the other, just some dialogue and scenes are slightly different. You also get a weapon depending on which you save but you're mostly going to be using standard weapons.

I'll just say it here, down the road in a mission you get a different super weapon depending on who you save, and Fergus's is just objectively better

Absolutely, in my opinion. I have played NO and NC once with Wyatt just to see the difference but Fergus is my head cannon for the correct choice. His loud, comic relief plays off of BJ so well it just seems to me the intended choice.

Is the kazerkraft weapon more fun than the dieselkraf one?

So lazer is alot funner to play with than diesel is what your saying? Cause I'll admit, it definitely sounds funner on ign.

Only problem is, that the flip of a coin doesn't give you the odds of 50/50, but rather the odds of 51/49.

The laser gun is so much fun
