Any OG players still out there? Looking to come home.

Used to play for years in this game... the object oriented balance with classes was such a perfect combo. I'm wondering if there are still people who play the "classics" where the original maps don't have crazy mods and themes. I used to play with very team based object oriented people and it was a blast. I was the engie and did not care about kills, just the obj and it was a blast.

The mods, cheats, lack of punkbuster etc... Looking for any tips on servers with OGs still out there.
I'd love to jump on, lay some mines and strafe around :)

yeah lots of people still do, you can meet them mostly in Discord communities such as “ET Pro”, playing fun/ranked gatherings with competitive maps and rules.

if playing with the etpro mod isn’t your thing then when trying jaymod or etlegacy you’ll probably get maps and game rules/settings with radical differences from the OG game.

edit: for public servers, check: https://www.crossfire.nu/threads/48131/etpro-public-servers

Unfortunately no tips, but I played for a long time, and I can't say I was any good, but my golden years of gaming were spent on ET. ETPro servers like Hirntot are still quite hard for me and get boring after a while, but there are plenty of object oriented severs to play on. Hope you have good luck finding something.

After some years, I'm looking to get back into ET, so let me know if you see something fun!

OF is Old Farts.

28.232.172.16:27960

>The =OF= Clan was formed in 2005 when a group of players discovered each other on the bpark3.com forums. A post was made by one of the founding members to see just how many other "old farts" were playing the game, it was quickly realized that there were actually quite a few. Starting in early April of 2005 the clan launched a new website at ofclan.net that would enable the members to gather together to discuss not only the games they love to play but also each other forming the base of what was to become the social clan we have today. We recognize the Clan Birthday as April 1st.
To be one of the "Old Farts" there are only a few requirements. You must be 30 years old or older, you should play Wolfenstien: Enemy Territory or Hell Let Loose regularly and we hope our members will visit and participate in our online website and forums.

You can also join us on Discord https://discord.link/OFClan

Help me remember the difference between ET Pro, JayMod and ET Legacy...
I'm sure I played them all, but I could use some wisdom as a reminder.

I see the sticky for ET Legacy, is that the best supported platform now?

I recently started playing again as well with some friends. Still just as fun.

ET Legacy is the new fancy version made by the community to work on modern machines without sheningan.

ET Pro and Jaymod were the most common mods out there

Welcome back! We will be hosting fun community-focused events for ET and ET: Legacy! Join our Discord to catch event announcements as well as to provide ideas and feedback for future events: https://discord.gg/T8Y22rP8vR.

Next Saturday we are doing a 6v6 ET Pro cup and there is still an opening for one team if you’d like to join! There are a few players looking for a team so perhaps you could form a team with them for the event if you’re interested 🙂
