Bullet spread headshots etc.

Silent_Scope · 10 Sep 2026 at 08:09 · permalink

How do some of these people have like it seems no bullets spread? I shoot at them they turn around and boom 3 headshots instantly they move around like crazy, its like it doesnt even change thier spread even though it should. They have super duper accuracy. And also have a weird rpm almost like bursts but with 0 delay that speads up their gun. Is this what makes them have no bullet spread.

Just a question. And if in the case yall have any tips for gunplay I would like to know thx

If I remember correctly, only fire 1 bullet at a time quickly take your finger off fire and then back on.

The 1st bullet is always super accurate… so you are doing that process very quickly instead of keeping your finger pressed down on the fire button.

Never fire more than 2-3 shots per mouse click unless you are in a very close quarter battle

Spread is very consistent in this game. there is no recoil pattern to learn or master. Remember some people have been playing this for years at this point.

I'm not sure about the ROF thing you're talking about and without a video, it's hard to interpret what you saw on that server.

there is probably a key bind script for this too

This is wrong. I played at a very high level back in like 05, I have never heard anyone suggest this.

I liked to aim top of shoulder or neck level. They duck, takes head into cursor. Then you are using your wasd movement to really change anything from there. You should not be overly moving your mouse. Most ppl go with very low sensitivity to force this on themselves

A thing that helps for consistent aim is keeping your xhair in the middle of your screen height wise. Helps with pre-aiming as well. It's easier to adjust down than up. Works in any fps game.

I think the rpm issue comes from lag tbh. I've seen this a couple of times. Most of the time i've seen this with bots. So maybe you met a bot ? Some servers give them names.

Burst fire is a super important technique. Learning the right rhythm will help a lot

Well there is a setting in you cfg wich makes you have low sens if you hold the fire button.

This sounds like Counterstrike advice, not ET.

You'd have to share the server mod and other server settings, along with the weapons used. In particular, certain levelup-bonuses reduce weapon spread, so it could be just that. I've also always played with the covert-ops weapons having lower spread, I think that's a vanilla setting.

I have been playing this game for almost twenty years. The reason they can shoot you dead in three shots is, they are just that good. I am one of the top players ranked on ET Trackbase. That coupled with a really good PC., and 1G fiber connection. If you don't think having a top tier video card in this older game makes a difference, I can tell you it does. This game should only be able to see speeds up to 1700mhz, but I have an RTX3090 shut modded and clocked through the roof and this game recognizes the speed. It shouldn't, but it does. Thats why my gun shoots faster, and I can move much faster than most.

change 4.4 and 2.6 to your own sensitivity

seta sensitivity "4.4"

set shooton "+attack;sensitivity 2.6;set vstr shootoff"

set shootoff "-attack;sensitivity 4.4;set vstr shooton"

bind mouse1 "+vstr shooton shootoff"
