Does anyone find Neu Paris as eerie as I do?

For some reason, I find Neu Paris in Youngblood really eerie atmosphere-wise. Like, shouldn’t there be more civilians walking around? The streets feel way too empty, and it makes the whole city feel artificial and unsettling, like it’s just a fake display pretending to be alive.

isn't that kind of the problem with YB - it doesnt feel like a live in world.

I think thats the idea. There is no public life since nazis came. You cannot enjoy having a picnick in tje park when tjere is a fucking panzehund nearby.

I don’t have a problem with the fact that there are no civilians necessarily, what bothers me more is the artificial feel of the city

Its more eerie when you listen to the loudspeaker PSAs. The announcer has such an enthusiast tone when saying "Heil Hitler" it sounds like he greets an grandma during Sunday service. The posters all over tha game are also adding more eerie vibe. The citizens of Paris are confronted with "Yeah we will tear down old Paris and encourage you to leave your homes, but no worries we set up a new better Paris that looks ugly"

It's explained in the game that they evacuated all the people from the city due to the terror attacks. It's why things are left half finished all over.

Also, it makes it easier as a game where there are no civilians to deal with.
