What if even the fate of Germany after Wolfenstein?

At this point they are basically the viltrumites in their sense of superiority. Entire populations have been exterminated or displaced. Countries have been occupied for decades. Democratic institutions have been destroyed. Generations have grown up under authoritarian propaganda. Collaborators and war criminals would be scattered throughout governments, militaries, police forces, and ordinary society. Infrastructure would be devastated, economies would be wrecked, and millions of people would have no idea what a normal, free society even looks like anymore.

What even happens to the people who survived the regime. Imagine being liberated after spending your entire childhood being taught that the Nazis were the legitimate rulers of the world. Imagine trying to rebuild trust between people who resisted, collaborated, survived, or simply tried to stay alive.

The resistance would have to decide how to rebuild hundreds of countries, prosecute hundreds of millions of potential collaborators, disarm remnants of the Nazi military, deal with resistance movements and competing political factions, and prevent another authoritarian movement from filling the vacuum.

At this point the only way to stop us is something like the scourge virus for Germans, just to prevent another Nazi like regime sometime in the future.

Probably the Nazi empire would fragment into smaller countries somewhat akin to what they were before.

There would also be wars fought between other countries or political parties that had tensions before the Nazis took over, like China and Japan or the various ethnic groups in the Balkans. Probably civil wars and new revolutions as well.

People would be extremely allergic to anything remotely fascist so probably far leftism would become more popular. In the future there could be some kind of super Soviet Union that would rise as a kind of swing the other way.

Imagine the Morgenthau plan, now multiply it by 100, and that's about how it goes

But now with an entire population brainwashed from birth to be Nazis, where at that point they’re in need of a hard reset, see final line.

I assume the resistance will fill the power vacuum as the main superpower and carve out the german empire while holding the new countries as "protectorates" in order to fully control them. Slowly ripping apart the fascist propaganda implanted in the population. Most collaborationist regimes would either comply or get carved up aswell.

I doubt they will kill all the nazis, because nazi ideology should be like a fraction of the entire population lol. Germany would probably be prohibited from existing as a state while local/regional cultural identities would be massively promoted (think of it like if the soviet union and the USA decided to revive baltic prussian as a language to utterly destroy "prussia").

basically, the resistance will practically apply a morgenthatu plan (or whatever it was called) very slowly over generations until the destruction of germanic culture is ensured.

Globalization would probably be promoted heavily (not in germany, though. Balkanization is the only way to destroy the german state) as the resistance has to promete diversity and equality a lot more. Which means the Internet gets created faster? Or perhaps they try to make a ultra equal-state where everyone's a copy of each other, destroying any sign of individuality in fear of a nazi regime 2.0 (which would be basically nazis but everyone becomes black-skinned instead of blonde considering that black skin is far more common)

Or perhaps the resistance goes full dictator-darwin Mode and turns into an authoritarian "wholesome" big ass state that rips apart problematic culture into smaller and smaller regional identities in order to heavily destroy any chance for anybody(except for them) to go down into the extremist part.

Idk, that's how I would do it atleast.

Honestly I see it being chipped away as splinter groups and remnants remain, people rebelling and over throwing the nazis and you'll get little "Nazi" states spread through out the world like rat nests and terrorist cells. As for germany itself they'll likely be some hold outs that BJ carves through like a turkey knife and the civilians start to learn and become even more horrified than the original timeline.

Somehow... Stalin returned

I don't understand why people see Fascism as some kind of mind virus that is impossible to fight once it reaches critical mass, outside of killing the fascists.

Ideologies change and evolve all the time, it's inevitable. A completely Fascist world would not stay that way forever.

realistically, the nazi's wouldn't ever dissappear completely, when you're an interplanetary totalitarian empire that got half a century to consolidate with that level of technology there will always be "loyalists" or outposts left. because entire generations grew up with the regimes education and propaganda.

but knowing the hatred towards nazism from the resistance germans most likely would get prosecuted, and germany would be annexed by it's neighbors, with every neighbor getting a piece.

germany would most likely get the prussia treatment and not be allowed to exist anymore.

The dark truth is that with the Nazis having turned the whole world against them and with the fact that the people leading those countries are going to be resistance members who'd disproportionately be made up of victims of the former Nazi Empire then it's likely the German people would endure a genocide of their own. 'Justified' under a logic like Germany started two world wars and we need to ensure it doesn't happen again.

They'd be cooler heads in the free countries but I doubt they'd prevail against all the different voices demanding retribution.

The most likely outcome is that the repressed, terrified, and exhausted German general population turns on their leaders as the tide of the war turns.

We see that even loyalist families are living in a state of fear and paranoia that something they do could be deemed disloyal resulting in a one way trip to the camps or a summary execution. Its only the iron grip the Nazis appear to have on the world thats holding the regime up and when that grip slips the public will turn on them. Most likely all the noncombatants will get out mostly unscathed though probably distrusted for years to come.

I mean... we could look at the multiple examples from Real Life...

So in other words literally the only good ending
