This is the guy that wants AI in everything in D&D and MtG games.

How do you feel about that?

Wasn’t this announced months ago? Old news.

No this is only confirmed news in the last couple of days.

Fun things….i don’t need to buy another book, mini, or other piece of DND product unless I chose to. So I’ll just vote with my wallet.

Me too. Tired of these people like this.

What's he gonna do, show up and tell me at gunpoint I can't keep playing with the stuff I already have?

I just ended my Beyond subscription over this. Just done with Hasbro. I'll play other TTRPGs like I did in the 90s when different corporate idiots were ruining the game.

I'm only buying non DnD/hasbro content now.

It's kind of a golden age/renaissance for handcrafted indie RPG content, so there's never been less need for Hasbros slop.

The WotC CEO resigned. Hasbro CEO is just doing the interim because they didn't have the time to recruit yet. They'll hire someone else to lead WotC soon. Until then, nothing will happen.

I was watching a deep dive on what this Cox guy has said he wants to do with DND to monetize it as much as possible. It’s already everything they’re doing before the WotC ceo left.

What the Woodpecker said, but IN ALL CAPS.

I am deathly curious to see whether they try to shut down PDF sales and Dungeon Master's Guild.

Again.

Like they did when Fourth Edition came out and started to sag, and they cancelled ALL legal PDF sales, and said, "This is Fourth Edition, and THIS IS Dungeons and Dragons, now. Deal with it."

And lo, the pirates came forth... and a thousand Jolly Rogers were raised...

Meh. I expected as much. I still poke my nose into DnD every so often, but I left 100% cold turkey after the first betrayal with the OGL.

This tracks for the direction of WotC/Hasbro/DnD.

I'd be absolutely livid if they did.
