Let's Talk Netcode

Ok, so I'm honestly confused as to how Battlefield 6's netcode is "trying" to work in it's current state.
Can someone please, explain to me the technical side and how it's possible for someone on 150 ping jump around a corner and kill not only me, but 4 other players before we essentially can react to whats happening. This guy finished the map with a score of 89-9 by the way and was level 990 with the battlefield labs banner.
I'm not saying he's cheating, but since the closure of the Hong Kong server this type of gameplay has become increasingly more common, players dominating with updwards of 150ms worth of latency. I'm honestly missing the point as from my own experiences on other titles (not only Battlefield 6) playing with anything more than 70-80 ping feels incredibly bad you can't hit anything. What server side mechanics are in play here for this to even be remotely possible? I'm not looking for "game sucks bad netcode" because majority of us are already aware of this. More interested in exactly what is happening behind the scenes here. Is this some sort of agressive lag compensation? Server side damage validation?

For example if the latency between you and server is 30ms and server to opponent is 100ms, between you and your opponent you have a 130ms gap. Your opponent will see a ghost of your character 130ms in the past, both location and actions. You could have just ran behind a wall but your opponent sees your past self and shoots at that. Now the server has to decide who's POV is valid : You safe behind the wall or your Opponent who shot you running in the open. It is just unfortunate that, to accommodate a wider range of players to play together with different latencies, the 'shooter' is given the advantage
