You guys happy paying the CEO and not the devs?

Same thing since 16 years now and you guys still support this practice, congratulations.

But, what if the CEO and the dev are the same?

What if EA would be a good company?

You think the contractors who didn't have their contracts renewed didn't get paid for the work they did on the game?
Wow, that's awful, those contractors sound like they have a good case to take the company to court.
So is there a link to this news story about them not getting paid?

You got good developers that made a great game and their rewards are layoffs for the developers while the CEO cashes out 38 millions out of their success.

You cant deny it sold extremely well and is a huge success. Duh.
I personally am not a fan of it either, a free weekend was enough and I saw how repeatitive it would get but thats unrelated to the article or their behavior as a company.

Well they got the "Worst Company" award many times and fully deserve(d) it.
And yes BF6 sold well, but as fast as it sold it lost players within days after release. People enjoyed the Beta and had some trust in their empty promises, but the real game was different and got messed up with RedSec.
It is just messing around with bugs (many of them are there or worsened since release) and aggressive EOMM-mechanics, there is no chance to enjoy a good match without experiencing those gamebreakers o.O

What is the point of your post? Trying to rally supporters here Sparticus?
You should know we players don't get any say in who gets paid at a company. The board pays the CEO. The CEO pays the devs. We players buy the game to keep it being developed (since almost all games are live service now and never "finished"). We pay to keep the servers running. We pay to have bugs fixed (albeit, also introduce more). Are you really that stupid to think that we the players have any say beyond what has already been said about this POS game?
Come on bro... Your attempt at boycott activism is laughable, your attempt at trolling is commendable, even if unintended.

Sold well, where are the numbers for refunds? 750k on launch day, down to maybe on its best day 80k (but realistically 50-60k) , down 670k since launch on steam. PS and Xbox players have the same issues. Sure they can say it sold well with 7 to 10 million copies sold, $400 million made. But they don't include refund amounts to give you true numbers. Those players went somewhere and probably took their cash with them.
But too your original point, no I'm not at all happy about the CEO making an $8mil bonus on a game that had large lay-offs, drips content, and gives as little support as possible and I'm pro-capitalist

That's great bro, now have you got a link/source to where the devs didn't get paid like you stated in your opening thread?

This is why 'gamers' are not taken seriously.
A company that makes entertainment products is voted the worst company in the world while you have for example companies like Johnson and Johnson and Purdue who are sued for billions for causing real harm to consumers health.
"But muh videogame has some annoying bugs!!!"

I don't think too many people like ea in general.
You can like their products, but you don't have to like them...
Like for many people, they probably only buy a few of their games...
Like for me it's just the Sims, Command & Conquer, Battlefield/Star Wars Battlefront. It used to be Need For Speed... but Need For Speed hasn't been good since the ps2 era so that's like 20 year gap for me right there
And that's it 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I only buy one game from EA these days and its Battlefield. But I don't get hung up on who publishes it.
I see something I like, and I buy it, last thing I'm researching who it is that publishes it. I do pay attention to who the devs are though, they are basically the band and the publisher is the one who finances them.
