BF6 hates hardcore why?

LTD_PMC_FEMBOY · 24 Jul 2026 at 21:07 · permalink

I want to play BF the way I always played: conquest. Preferably hardcore as I enjoyed the extra details on realism. I used to go to find servers because that's the only way to play hardcore conquest? But now they moved it and every time I have to search through endless buttons in the menu. Seems like EA really wants us to play everything except hardcore conquest because I see all sorts of other game modes. Eventually found it here: Portal --> Arrow right (it doesn't show up in the first row of buttons) --> Server Browser.
There are hardly any active servers with players! What's up with the hardcore conquest hate?

I agree, a horrid UI made for consoles and TV, and also no support for the classic game modes including Hardcore. It saddens me as a long BF fan seeing almost zero effort on this.

hey at least u die like in hardcore, instant.

I play only HC mode in BF games, I agree with you overall but it's not that hard to join hardcore servers, you just select portal you go in filters and type "Hardcore" and then in order you select "Players count" and you will he able to find a decent number of HC servers , the best so far is the "Faith's walker OLD SCHOOL ..." where mini map is OFF , FF ON and is the only server so far ever joined that has sliding OFF as result the game to become slower and to feel more like old good BF games.. Don't forget soon dedicated custom servers will be added so we will probably be able to find more HC servers and add them as favourite...

In order to play HC, you have to find server browser hidden away far down and far to the right in portal.
1) Click portal
2) Click server browser
3) Click filters
4) Click region (3x times to get my region)
5) Click Max players (2x times to get 64)
6) Click free slots (2x times to get any)
7) Click tags
8) Click friendly fire
9) Click hardcore
10) Click maps & modes
11) Click Conquest
12) Click apply filters
13) Click sort recommended
14) Click sort player count
That's 18 clicks every time I open the game. Imagine if it would just remember the filters and show the damn server table immediately, instead of all the other shortcuts I never click on?

id settle for just having friendly fire on. The gameplay is so much more interesting with that on.

Because the game plays like hardcore already.
So many people abusing broken OP suppressors. So much camping. Just playing like cowards like people in hardcore play.
And you already die in one shot from basically everything. There is no way to react to anything because everything is one shot kill.
So this is just har5dcore experience in normal mode.
I'd say BF6 loves hardcore because even normal mode plays like HC. Which absolutely sucks, I never asked for this. No wonder you could not find more than 1 HC server in older battlefields lmfao
the only thing that's different is that you have more hud, and I guess weapon reloads keep the unused ammo
However, you can just disable the hud in the settings lol.
Bam, you have hardcore experience.
The only thing that will be different in the end is that you keep the unused ammo on reloads

I have never experienced any of what you just described

Yes, this is what I mean, what has become of game development when you are this detached from the user and the gamer? It is just getting worse and we are being taught its a feature to be deployed rather than it being there for 20 years before.

That's fun until the server auto kills you for too many tk's because blueberries are clueless...

How else do you regulate the inevitable deliberate teamkillers? Like cheats, friendly fire on attracts some of the worst, toxic gamers to mess with players.

Or people like me who'll bring a mortar, line up the position with the capture point and then just shell it all game long.
That gets FRUSTRATING to deal with real quick, add hardcore and it becomes game-breaking.

we could bring back the Punish / Forgive system BF used to have for Friendly Fire games. Most people forgive.
