previewThe new map looks beautiful. It really does.
But it also has a lot of issues, especially with the water.
Season 4 is all about the sea and the ocean, right?
The wave system looks amazing, no doubt about that. But it’s honestly frustrating when you’re actually fighting on the water.
First of all, when playing in first-person on the patrol boat, the waves sometimes cause the boat to flip over in a very sudden and strange way. At that point, there’s nothing you can do. And trying to aim the cannons or missiles while the boat is constantly bouncing around is almost impossible.
No, I’m not saying it’s unplayable. But it definitely feels clunky.
You could say, “Just switch to third-person.” Fine, I do that. But then the camera has a mind of its own. A rock, a wave, or any obstacle, and the camera starts pointing in random directions, tilting awkwardly and ruining the experience.
If you’re going to keep the waves as they are, then at least give us some kind of aim stabilization. For example, holding the right mouse button could activate stabilization, similar to how combat helicopters stabilize their sights.
Or reduce these constant massive waves. Instead, add dynamic weather. Something like the storm on Paracel Storm, or whatever the map is called. Battlefield 5 also had dynamic weather, and even Battlefield 2042 had tornadoes and sandstorms. No matter what people say about those games, those weather events were genuinely awesome and made the battles feel much more alive.
I’m sure your engine is capable of doing something similar. Nobody is asking for the full Levolution system again—although that was also a fantastic feature alongside the destruction physics.
Please add dynamic weather. A lot of players have been asking for it. It won’t hurt the gameplay—in fact, it will make the battles feel even more epic, immersive, and dynamic.
