I asked GOOGLE for a RECOMMENDATION
previewI stated : I want a fun first person shooter that doesn't manipulate matchmaking.
Here is Google's answer.
"If you want an honest, unmanipulated shooter experience, you need to completely step away from modern mainstream matchmaking systems. Big-budget publishers use aggressive Engagement Optimized Matchmaking (EOMM) and dynamic lag compensation systems that actively manipulate server-side hit registration, lobby balance, and gunfight outcomes to keep casual players hooked.
To bypass these rigging algorithms, you have two clear paths: games with strict Server Browsers (where a machine simply hosts a static room with zero background adjustments) or tactical shooters featuring deep Offline PvE/Bot Modes where your bullets register instantly and the server never intervenes."
It cracks me up seeing people say "skill issue" and "get good" to anyone who complains about this game. Poor souls, they suck so bad that they can't even tell that their gunfights are being manipulated. But then again, they probably buy enough DLC to be exempt from the manipulation. The top squad is always dressed head to toe in DLC, That's not a coincidence.
SERVER BROWSER : This is why they drag their feet on a server browser, and why they go out of their way to make The Portal suck. We will eventually get a server browser, once EA reach a certain financial milestone. But it's going to take the revenue from the current system to dry up before it ever happens.
I've been saying it since day 1. This game is rigged. You aren't playing a shooter game. You are playing a shooter game simulator.
YOU ARE PLAYING A SHOOTER GAME SIMULATOR.
