"EA AntiCheat has detected an incompatible driver. Please update or disable 'c:\program files(x86)\evga\kernal\driver-x64.sys' and restart" is the Error
If you are having issues after the 7/30 update running EVGA X1, then you can either just rename the file to: driver-x64.sys.old OR you can disable the X1 driver if you need the program for your EVGA GPU.
Battlefield 6 anti cheat driver error after July 30, 2026 update fix instructions:
- If you need EVGA Precision X1 program to control fan like in video, go ahead and keep program. If you don't need it and use MSI Afterburner or GPU Tweak III, then uninstall X1
- Make sure 3rd fan is activated, if not then run X1 program to set fan speed, then close it
- Go to Registry Editor
- Type in text bar at top: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Driver
- change value of "start" from 2 (start) to 4 (disabled)
- Type in text bar at top: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Driver
- change value of "start" from 2 (start) to 4 (disabled)
- reboot computer and dont start X1 program. As long as fan is working now, use your preferred GPU program if you want.

why are you using that ancient software to begin with, MSI Afterburner is objectivly better.

you do not know what you are talking about.....EVGA did not use standard fan controllers and even has a bunch of extra sensors NgreedyA did not use.....
in most cases (as it depends on the GPU used) afterburner will only control 2 of the 3 fans and it wont even control them right as the parameters of the sensors are not right.....
depending on GPU used lots of EVGA owner have no option but to use this software....
incase you did not know....MSI afterburn is not for other GPU makers and no other maker then MSI is supported by the program regardless of what works in the real world.....
stop posting DRIVLE about things you do not understand.....its a waste of our time.....

renaming x86 .sys file to . bak helps,
but on reboot it reverts, so you would need to rename before playing BF6...

Yeah the renaming to that or adding .old at end works for some people but indeed can revert. My steps above are just an alternate option

Exactly. I dont like using X1 Precision but I have to for my EVGA card due to the fans not all working automatically. Sadly EVGA are no longer going to update their software so stuck with this workaround
