"Security Violation"

irman7as · 30 Jul 2026 at 16:44 · permalink

Played as usual yesterday and today when I launch the game and just when a match loads the game crashes and I get EA Anticheat "incompatible driver" message:
"EA AntiCheat has detected an incompatible driver. Please update or disable C:\Program Files (x86)\EVGA\Kernel\driver-x64.sys and restart your computer."
I have no driverupdates as of 28/7 which is the latest update from Nvidia

Driver-x64.sys is a low-level kernel driver by EVGA.
Are you using precisionx by chance?

I had this issue start this morning as well. I do NOT have an EVGA GPU, or any EVGA software installed, I tried to delete the .sys file but it won't let me.... also looked in Device Manager but nothing EVGA was there

Solved it!
Look up "driver-x64.sys" and rename it to "driver-x64.sys.old" then restart your pc and enter the game and it will work!

I restarted into safe mode and deleted the EVGA folder entirely

I'm having this issue as well. Funny enough I no longer use my EVGA card as I upgraded to a 5070ti

It's left over junk files from PrecisionX (it's overclocking software), has nothing to do with the brand of video card you use.

Yet another Application that doesn't properly uninstall all of its bits and pieces....

Renaming x86 EVGA .sys files to .bak seems to have helped me.
there are two locations of the files, the ones on pop up for me were x86 and renamed those to .bak.
I do use Precision X1 and went in and reloaded my saved config, since it does default after updates on games (i have noticed this on other games as well.)
So i went in and made sure the same undervolt and fan curves were running , and they are.
played for about 45 minutes straight no issues.
note I also did a shutdown and switched off power supply for 15 seconds. this may not matter, but I have had driver issues resolved this way on other situations. might as well do it as well.
