Game constantly disconnecting after 3-5 minutes

liumiantouming · 24 Jul 2026 at 00:38 · permalink

On day 1 of the Season 4 Update I've had almost no problems with the game, but today I tried to play and it's been a pain since this morning.
I boot the game, go through matchmaking, and after 4 minutes on average the game drops the connection. Among the errors thrown there's:
223012S
85011S
85009S
14:145001S:52004S
I've flush DNS, deleted Javelin, reinstalled Javelin, uninstalled the game, re-installed the game. Nothing.
Anyone else having this issue?

Clockington, some troubleshooting steps to try:
1. Restart your modem/router. Power both off for 30–60 seconds, then reconnect and test again. Reboot your PC too.
2. Use a wired Ethernet connection if you're currently on Wi-Fi.
3. Disable any VPN or proxy software.
4. If possible, connect through a mobile hotspot. If the disconnects stop, that points toward your home network or ISP rather than the game.
Let us know how you get on with these, thanks. EA_Barry.

Yep, had this last night. played the morning before with no problem, but now I cant even get in a game. Tried all the suggested fixes and none of them work.

I also tried all the suggestions and did not solve the problem, and two days ago, before the update, the game worked perfectly.

Hey Barry.
All steps above were tested except for 4. Router was disconnected for 2 minutes and no changes, PC has been connected through Ethernet this whole time. No VPN or Proxy enabled. Mobile Hotspot is not an option for me.

UPDATE:
Apparently it got fixed somehow. I didn't do anything, I just went to sleep and 9 hours later no more connection drops or errors. A deeper navigation through EA & BF6 forums mention something OAuth tokens needing a refresh from the Backend side of the Javelin system. Can you confirm?

Rather than an OAuth token, there was likely a backend refresh of a session or another token. Thanks for letting us know your issue is resolved. EA_Barry.

After some research I discovered a solution that worked for me. I changed my DNS to a CloudFare fixed one and installed WARP, after which I had no further problems.

Okay, so for some reason I have had no problems with the game after installing WARP and to be honest that's a bit concerning because I dont understand why installing another app fixes the issue.
Props to you for the suggestion. EA, get your stuff together for at least one live-service game.
