Random crashing.

gdgseeF · 30 Jul 2026 at 03:05 · permalink

Not played for a week and went to play today and while I was looking at the challenges the game just closed. Like no crash report or error, just off like I hit exit. Then later in the evening I decided to try again, got into a match and got about 15min in and same thing. Thought it was my driver, so i updated, started again, did the shaders thing, crashed again. Every other game seems to be working fine, it's just battlefield doing this. As I was typing this I opened the game, went to the menu to change some settings, crashed again.

game was working for me today and just am having the same issue as you. It just closes on its own. Did the same thing you did but still the same problem. From what others said try uninstalling and reinstalling the anticheat. But if anyone solves it then let me know. I still have no idea how to solve it.

Same here; I havent crashed on this game since season 1 or 2, now it's freezing and closing without error, just updated to newest nvidia drivers.

same been getting random crashing to desktop since the update on Tuesday. Interestingly it is only when joining of leaving a match. every single crash dump that It leaves is
FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: INVALID_POINTER_WRITE_c0000005_bf6.exe!Unknown
bf6!isGlimpseEnabled+65b60f
Happening with newest and older rollback AMD drivers. Just a blackscreen when loading then crash to desktop.

Hey there. Try a clean driver install. Use DDU in Safe Mode to remove the current driver. Then install the latest driver again or the previous Game Ready driver if the crashing began when updating to the current driver.
You can also try disabling Frame Generation and upscaling. Temporarily disable these:
DLSS Frame Generation
DLSS Super Resolution
NVIDIA Reflex (for testing)
Any dynamic resolution scaling
Use the native resolution and see if the crash still happens.
Something else to try is deleting the shader cache. In the NVIDIA app, go to Settings > Graphics > Delete Shader Cache. You can also do this in Windows under Disk Cleanup > Check DirectX Shader Cache.
It would be good to also disable NVIDIA App overlays temporarily:
NVIDIA Overlay
Instant Replay
Highlights
Recording
If you're overclocking, disable it and use stock settings.
If these don't help, get me a DxDiag. Just upload it to Dropbox or Google Drive. Instructions can be found

Hello! Let's see if the following help.
1. Turn off every AMD add-on feature for Battlefield 6: Record & Stream, FSR, Frame Generation, Anti-Lag, Enhanced Sync, and any overlay/capture features.
2. Clear shader cache, then relaunch and let shaders rebuild.
3. Use the AMD Cleanup Utility to perform a clean uninstall of the driver, then install a known-stable driver.
4. Reset the game’s graphics config / delete its local settings so it rebuilds defaults.
5. Test borderless vs exclusive fullscreen, and cap frame rate to something conservative.
If you're still having trouble, upload a DxDiag to Dropbox or Google Drive. You can find instructions
here.
Thanks!

Is there an error message or anything in the crash dumps? Like the others, if you can get me a DxDiag, I'll go over it for any issues.

Have you checked the crash dumps like the others? If you want to get me a DxDiag, I'll look it over. Thanks!

So when i checked event viewer during the times it crashed, apparently it is the EA anticheat crashing or something. Says "The EAAntiCheatService service terminated with the following error: %%4294901855" So apparently the anticheat is having issues for some reason.

You can upload it to Dropbox or Google Drive. Make sure it's set to public and just get me a link to it. Thanks!

My dxdiag came back clean, no issues or oddities.
Ran some stress tests of my PC's hardware both stock clocks and every part possible OC'd; not a single fault or crash. Same goes with all the other titles I play. Temperatures are all at or below reccomended for my systems parts. Only thing I haven't done is roll back my drivers to what was working on this game prior. The only error i'm getting anywhere is in the crash dump after analyzing it: FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: INVALID_POINTER_WRITE_c0000005_bf6.exe!Unknown
