Frametime spikes which results in stuttering on the following maps: operation firestorm, empire state, manhattan bridge and blackwell fields

LasersFromTheCannons · 14 Oct 2025 at 13:44 · permalink

I have 7800x3d, 4070 ti super and 32gb ram in my pc and im using ultra preset with dlss quailty 1440p. As I said in the title there are annoying frametime spikes on 3 maps: operation firestorm, empire state and manhattan bridge - other maps are running perfectly fine and smooth. Anyone with the same issue and maybe fix for it?
EDIT:
After new update issue on three maps remains + new map blackwell fields suffers from stutter problems too - exactly same thing as on three other mentioned maps :)
+ There is same problem with BR

Same here. (4080 Super)

Yeah I get randoim issues to with it startingto stutter and such, forcing a restart to get it right again.
I have the same cpu and a 4080 super with top grade 32 gb of ram and a top grade sso (890 evo or something I think, Id have to look it up.)

Yup, same here. Those same 3 maps. Glad to see it's not just me. Interestingly enough, my buddy while playing will sometimes get a spike and stutter at the exact same moments I do. So, something going on there. Perhaps some environmental destruction or something that provokes it.

Yep... getting random frametime spikes certainly in Operation Firestorm.. shall try the other 2 maps you mention.

Yep, same here one huge frame time spike here and there on some maps, rtx 5090, 9950x3d

Same here. I made another post on this too. 9070xt and 9800x3d. Seems its both AMD and Nvidia GPU but does everyone have AMD cpu?

same i think? 7800X3D and 7900XTX. it doesn't seem to be map specific for me though and the issue seems to be GPU usage (drops to 45% for no reason). alt-tabbing also fixes it for ~5 seconds before it comes back, and eventually disappears entirely after a few min

is it happening when nothing is happening or is it when there is a lot going on? a lot of expensive effects may be why its happening, I was having some hiccups but once I dialed back some of the "effects" it seemed to fix it up.
still running mostly ultra, but I stepped down from overkill in some categories and then turned down anything that says its high use of cpu.
keep in mind I run a 5600X at 3.7GHz no turbo or PBO, so that may also play into my hiccups because it could be related to 1 percent lows or something I haven't noticed... maybe even network lag.
i play 4K with a 4080 Super, I will admit I haven't monitored the frame time graphs only going with the feel.

For me it seems to be completly random, looks like traversal stutter when it is loading sth. Tried low settings already and same thing

For me it happens only on these 3 maps and gpu usage is 100% when it happens or im not noticing sth, also fps don’t drop
