Slide

Did they change anything about sliding?
I feel like, most of the time, sliding only works when you're at full running speed.
If you're just starting to run or want to slide twice in quick succession,
it often doesn't work, you just crouch instead, which has cost me my life several times.
I didn't have this problem before.
But lately, I’ve been noticing this with opponents, too.
They crouch much more often in the middle of a gunfight, in situations where I think to myself, they were probably trying to slide just then.

There are in game settings where you can differentiate them. For example, i have a binding where if i hit c while sprinting, i crouch WITHOUT slide. HOWEVER, if i hit ctrl while sprinting, I will initiate a slide. Theres a lot of settings but its in there and or the keybinds.

Ah, okay, I didn't know that. that it had always been that way.
Before, it felt like you could slide right after you’d already slid, or just as you started running again after the crouching phase.

Thanks, I'm aware of that option. I've definitely set it up so that I crouch with Ctrl while standing still, and slide when running and then crouching.
I've always found that to be the best method.
But somehow, it felt different.
It never used to happen that often ducking down when I actually wanted to slide.
That’s been happening more.

You were right, it has been patched recently, I don't have the patch notes link but it I CadWoman went through it in a recent BF6 updates video. To be honest, I've only ever done when sprinting.
Here's the video link, it should go right to it, if not, chapter Slide Delay:

That’s fantastic. Thank you for the video.
So, it’s exactly how I feel, not just my imagination
