BF6 PC random crashes to desktop - EA AntiCheat reinstall temporarily helped, still investigating

Hello everyone,
I am trying to troubleshoot random Battlefield 6 crashes on PC and wanted to see if anyone has experienced something similar or found a permanent fix.
The game crashes randomly during gameplay with no consistent trigger. Sometimes I can play for hours, other times it crashes much sooner.
My PC specs:
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3060 12GB
CPU: Intel i7-9700
RAM: 64GB
OS: Windows 10
My troubleshooting history:
- Originally played through EA App
- Reinstalled EA AntiCheat, which improved the situation significantly
- After reinstalling EA AntiCheat, the game was able to run for several hours before crashing again
- Disabled unnecessary Windows background services (clean boot style troubleshooting)
- Tested with overlays disabled
- Reinstalled/check repaired game files
- Checked GPU drivers and system stability
The interesting part is that some fixes seem to improve stability temporarily, but the crashes eventually return.
Currently testing:
- Fresh Steam installation of Battlefield 6
- Same PC, same Windows setup, comparing Steam vs EA App behavior
Possible causes I am investigating:
- EA AntiCheat conflicts
- Background applications/software hooks
- Windows services
- Overlays
- Windows graphics settings
- RAM/XMP stability
- Security software scanning
Has anyone experienced a similar situation where EA AntiCheat reinstall or disabling background services improved crashes temporarily?

Its not you problem its a lack of BF6 optimization. This has been happening since launch, acknowledged by DICE in Season 1 and completely ignored since.

Thank you! Here are some suggestions based on your DxDiag and the details you've already mentioned.
1. Repair the Windows component store. Open an elevated Command Prompt and run: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. When that completes, run sfc /scannow. Restart your PC after both commands complete.
2. Update your motherboard audio driver. Install the latest from MSI or Intel.
3. Update your Intel Ethernet (LAN) driver. Again, install the latest from MSI or Intel.
4. Temporarily disable XMP (if enabled). This can be done in the BIOS.
5. Perform a clean NVIDIA graphics driver installation. Use NVIDIA's "Clean Installation" option. You can also use DDU for this. Install only NVIDIA Graphics Driver and PhysX System Software. Leave GeForce Experience/NVIDIA App optional during testing.
6. Disable all overlays:
Steam Overlay
EA Overlay
NVIDIA Overlay
Discord Overlay
Xbox Game Bar
Any other third-party overlays
7. Close the following software. It might conflict with EA AntiCheat:
MSI Afterburner
RivaTuner Statistics Server (RTSS)
MSI Center
RGB/lighting software
Logitech G Hub
SteelSeries GG
Razer Synapse
Overwolf
Process Lasso
Other monitoring or hardware utilities
8. Cap your frame rate at 120 or 90 FPS.
9. Verify the game is installed on your SSD instead of a mechanical hard drive. Make sure your Windows drive also has enough free space.
If crashes continue, please collect these details. After the next crash, check:
Event Viewer (Application and System logs)
Reliability Monitor (perfmon /rel)
Battlefield crash dumps (if generated)
LiveKernelEvent entries
WHEA-Logger events

Got the same problem, applied every one of each fix you mentionned. Still randomly crashes, once a day. No more, no less. I'm getting very tired of this.

Btw, absolutely no problem with any other games. It has to be fixed somehow dev side.

When you say crashes are you getting any kind of error message? Or just your pc shuts down? If its a direct X error, try doing this simple fix.

No error message, the game just closes. As simple as that.

Thanks! When is the hard lock happening?
Usually 5-10mins once i'm in a map.
Screen will freeze there will be audio for a few seconds then lock.

Hello, I am providing additional information regarding my Battlefield 6 freezing issue.
Issue:
Battlefield 6 freezes during gameplay.
The game image becomes completely frozen, but Windows remains responsive.
I can open Task Manager and manually End Task Battlefield 6.
The computer does not require a forced restart.
Logs / Crash Data:
Windows Event Viewer recorded a Battlefield hang/freeze event.
No additional crash logs were found inside the Electronic Arts folder.
Battlefield 6 generated a crash dump (.mdmp) file located in the Battlefield 6 CrashDumps folder.
Crash dump can be provided for analysis.
System Specifications:
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3060 12GB
CPU: Intel Core i7-9700
RAM: 64GB
Operating System: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit
Troubleshooting Performed:
NVIDIA graphics driver clean installation using DDU.
Verified Battlefield 6 game files.
Disabled overlays:
NVIDIA Overlay
Discord Overlay
Steam Overlay
Xbox Game Bar
Cleared shader/cache files.
Ran Windows system file checks.
Updated motherboard/platform drivers:
Intel Chipset Driver

Current Status:
The issue still occurs after these steps. Since the freeze does not crash Windows completely and Battlefield can be closed through Task Manager, I suspect this may be related to a game engine/rendering hang rather than a full system crash.
