Had it happen once yesterday too. Never seen it happen before or again after that and I played a lot yesterday.

It's a returning season 2 bug, because they don't know what version control is over there at EA. Same song and dance every update with different bugs coming back.

Spot on. This black screen bug has been around since season 2. I've experienced it and posted about it several times myself. In fact, I uninstalled because of it. Reinstalled last night after a month off or so, and experienced it again. Usually happens to me on Cairo Bizarre. For the EA artificial intelligence bot to act as if this is the first time they, he, she, it has heard about it is one reason the player base is frustrated.
