I logged into the game and it's putting me in lobbies with 8–16 players. What's going on with the game?

I check the game in breakthrough, There is an online version available there. In conquest - 16 peoples. Idk what's going on, maybe shutdown this game or what.

Now the breakthrough have 5 peoples in lobby. Seriously, what happened with game?

The second was BF6. BF2042 had already tarnished its reputation as a BF game, so when the marketing for BF6 said it was a return to form, people believed it. People who might have bought 2042 held out for BF6. BF2042 players who were playing this game, hopped over to BF6 because that's how the BF and CoD series work.

Well dammit. I certainly understand how 2042 is bottom, but somehow I fell in love with this game. It's a shame, I'll either have to switch to BF6 or play other games like BF1, BFV, or even BF4. The concept of 2042 was great, but the execution is abysmal.

i just downloaded it yasterday and kinda dispointed..im waiting in lobby for almost 20 minutes and still cant find the match..it;s better to play with BOT but i cant enjoy it..i thought this game got lots of improvement after years..Delta Force is better than BF2042 in my opinion

have you enabled crossplay in game settings? console players and their aimlock or aim assists in BF2042 are not that heavy as in other games .. but you still recognize aimbots of cheating console players and you should report these

also play with solo mode only on conquest/breaktrough mode.

No, the only reason why this game is dying is that people cannot find a game. When you hit play, it will load up a map, then go to a black screen. This happens all the time in every game mode for a lot of people. That is why this game is "dead". Most people can't get into a game. The devs never really fixed this issue. Because before that issue reared its ugly head, the servers were heavily populated.

ya. it is ♥♥♥♥. There is a easy fix though.. And atm, i dont see have the have any problems.. so they might have fixed it? idk... ea surely cut their own troath here.

The blackscreen issue is fixed for me since a few weeks now, but matchmaking is hit and miss and contest is still 128 players by default which often ends up with half the team being bots. Would be easy to fix but EA/dice obviously dont give a fck

I never play Battlefield 6 but will occasionally fire up 2042. .The game's not dead, but it's become a casual solo play game. It's unlike any other Battlefield released since 2142 over 20 years ago in that it allows for XP and progression while only playing bots. The online multiplayer lobbies were down to very little a long time ago, but those don't account for people playing with bots. It's actually a much better experience than Battlefield 6 with its small maps virtually useless for vehicles and planes, and its Iraq war style combat which isn't as entertaining as the future war genre in my opinion.
It's really too bad that EA didn't assign a separate dev and design team to keep DLCs and maps coming out for 2042 in the last few years. BF6 has turned out poorly so they'd have been a lot smarter not putting all their eggs in a small maps online-only boring Iraq war rehash

Have issues with firing game up, takes 2 or 3 tries is a HUGE TURN OFF not including servers are plum empty most the time except on portal and the settings in most of them are also LAME! and playing BOTS is simply BORING, Delta Farce is fgull of hackers and cheaters so thats not a option for me so I will continue to search for a game that the DEVS actualy care and the company, unlike EA GAMES!
