This is something that I've noticed ever since I've started playing 2042 via PC, or keyboard and mouse. Also starting a discussion on something concerning I saw in the game chat.
It seems like most are using controllers to take advantage of the aim assist, leaving those using keyboard and mouse at a disadvantage. Problem is, I'm so used to using keyboard and mouse that I really don't want to change my play style. I also noticed in the game text chat sometimes that players are telling others that using controllers is a "sign that you have a life", or something along that line, which really concerns me. Just from interpreting that line, those people are saying that everyone should be using controllers to show everyone that they have a life.
I'm not looking for those "get gud" answers, I'm just airing my concerns that due to both the majority using aim assist to take advantage, as well as seeing the text from other players to get a controller or else being put down for not having a life, it feels like a lot of people are either being forced to get a controller, or just quit.

If you are comfortable playing on MnK then stick with it. Just ignore what these controller players are saying.

Never bothered to even try the game with a controller. It's just complete garbage in FPS overall. Single player is fine but online against real people it's one of the worst gaming experiences I've ever had, even when playing against other console players. You can't beat keyboard + mouse. No amount of "aim assist" will change that. Tried Bad Company 2 on x360 and Bf1 in ps4. I'm sure there are people who are really good with the controller, and maybe they could beat people with keyboard+mouse at the same skill level too, but your "average joe" has no chance.
Sure, the game "aims" to the head automatically, but only when you're actually looking at the opponent. It doesn't snap there miraculously when someone appears next to you, and it is arguably much faster to aim towards them with a mouse than it's with the joysticks. Not to mention if there are more than one enemies next to you it'll flicker between all of them if you move the crosshairs at all. It's just utter trash.
Anyone who claims controller users are "impossible" to beat has absolutely zero idea what they are talking about, and 100% are just so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad in this game it doesn't matter what gadget the opponent is using because they would get killed anyway. It's just an easy excuse.

Never had any more issues fighting against console players than pc. It's got more to do with skill or lack of than it actually giving an edge over keyboard + mouse.

Last year I had a weekly to get kills with the p50 sidearm, couldn't hit the broad side of a barn while spraying on M&KB but when I plugged in an xbox controller I didn't know any of the buttons and could spam LT and RT to lock onto people (with high sensitivity)
Controllers get lax recoil and very strong aim friction and snapping, so the only way to play against them is to break line of sight completely for a few seconds. You'll see some pretty nasty stuff from playstation users, but otherwise everyone's just paying good attention and sometimes you get outplayed, even by a medic laying prone with an LMG with no attachments.

People are not using controllers, save the money. Pay a monthly suscription for aimbot and wallhack as everyone else does...
What are you thinking?

I was so surprised when the only time I would be killed is by a player using a controller. When I tried the controller myself, everything was so easy with the aim-lock it was unbelievable. Yeah, something needs to be done about the controller aim-lock and massively overpowered vehicles.

I tried controller a while ago. It does make the game easier, but the movement you can do on KB&M is way better (being able to look around while being precise)
Comparing the aim assist in this game to COD, COD is wayyy insanely more broken than 2042's aim assist. I'm ok with its implementation as is in this game

This is one game I couldn't care less about AA. If you're losing to controller players, it's definitely a skill issue. MNK is without doubt superior on BF.
