Since about Saturday, suddenly whenever I try to launch a single player or co-op game, it starts the count-down, goes to a black screen, music is playing and then it kicks me back to the menu. It was working before, and I can still join other games, so the game is still loading, it just won't let me host a game myself. Any suggestions?

i have the same problem since today any Solution? Tried to verify Game Files didnt help
edit: Uninstall javelin and reinstall it did it for me.
Find it under : steam>steamapps>commmon>Bf2042 EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe
edit 2 :It worked for one Match now its the same as before

Thanks for the suggestion, I tried that but it didn't work. It doesn't seem like a great candidate for this issue because I can still join online games, just can't play co-op against bots

same issue, cant play conquest 128, conquest 64 works, other modes have issues too, sometimes work, sometimes dont

This indicates that your connection session has "frozen" in an error state. When you switch between Solo (with AI) and Multiplayer, the game needs to renew your authentication with EA’s servers. If this handshake fails once, the error can persist across all modes until the connection is manually reset.
Since the error is now constant, try these steps in order:
Force Session Renewal:
Log out of your account within the game or the launcher (EA App/Steam/PSN/Xbox).
Close the game completely.
Wait 2 minutes and log back in. This forces the server to generate a new "access token" for you.
It worked for me.

every game working except bf2042. there were also issues with the inventory and player card doing weird things.

I tried to renew the access token, but that didn't seem to work. Good suggestion though!
Also my son's PC on the same network does work, so it's not my network, it just really doesn't want me to start a game

it seems like a dns cache / time limit issue, some connections are outdated, not getting refreshed, which make parts of the ui broken

i had this problem yesterday,not just me but my brother also on ps5.We played today without any problems.

i can play again, not sure if they changed or updated again, but sometimes i can connect to 128, sometimes it just takes 64s

Its still bugged, i still get black screen and back to lobby. Also i noticed steam overlay no longer work,i think they wanna get rid of the last 2042 Players.
Ofcourse no one in the ea forums answered they are just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ company

same here for some conquest maps

Nothing is working unfortunately. Guess it must be the servers. Anyone know if any other EA games are affected?
