A glowing gem that out performed bf6 easily.

even on its release day of BF2042, it was better than BF6 today ..
i had just 2 issues with BF2042 on release:
> the funny but true BF20~42 fps meme, especially on Hourglass
> and the exploity Drone + C5 combo to oneshot ANY vehicles
the fps issues was fixed QUICKLY by DICE !!
and the C5 "EXPLOIT" sometime later, which even made me to leave BF2042 for half a year as it was no fun being instantly killed from above without any warnings .. and after this "exploit" was finally fixed, I have returned to play BF2042 regularly again since then ..
to plant C4 or C5 onto vehicles to self-destruct it on an enemy, this ever been a Battlefield "feautre" and is fun as you also need some kind of skill, but this Drone-C5 combo was a full and un-fun exploit which made many players leave, as me as mentioned ..
BF2042 ever been great, even the early and huge (and empty) original maps
BF2042 has never deserved its bad reputations to begin with .. everything was fixed relatively quickly .. and even received some major updates in 2024~2025
BF2042 is great today .. but for this BF6 COD slop, features were removed in 2042 to bleed it out .. EA promised to bring back BF2042 events to unlock limited skins, vehicles and weapons, even new weapons, new vehicles and other features, shamefully not yet happened. promise was set officially before BF6's Open Beta events and v1.0 launch
additionally EA has wanted to go the COD path which was and is already obvious to the BF6 menu. to release a new BF game every year, just as COD does .. same menu, have you noticed? but since Zampella has died in an accident, circumstances have changed, i guess..
and if the developers would add more (BC2) maps into BF2042 as mentioned below, this will gonna be so lit .. !! there are many more of huge and great maps in BC2 ..

Arica Harbor + Rush
has been the BEST EVER experience within the whole Battlefield universe .. absolute godlike, and it can be played in BF2042, by classic BC2 classes, 2042 classes, or you can even set it up for WW2, BF3 classes or even "MIXED" classes/eras in one match ..

BF2042 played better on released compared to BF6??? This has to be a joke. BF2042 was NO WAY near playable compared to BF6 launch.

Don't pay $70 for BF6, play the free and try the custom tab, the game is so "underdeveloped" COD looks miles about it with menus, content, and performance. It looks like this game was worked on a few months and they released it with AI like maps and no soul at all. Not even close to previous games. But yeah, I will say 2042 is better, not saying much though.
