The leaning system is fully developed, but DICE chose not to implement it in the full release for whatever reason; they probably just reused that code for BF6 if I had to guess.

you, however, can switch between left and right hand in-match, and by this the camera view above shoulder, iirc .. by this you can peak around different corners, left and right, correctly
