since i wasnt enjoying bf6 anymore i decided to go back to 2042 even tho the player count is around 800 to 900 daily but today when i downloaded it back i notice theres 2000 people playing it, is this game coming back alive and bf6 is going to die?

I friggin hope so BF 6 doesn't deserve it's playerbase

I guess because of it's discount, people are buying it more

A comeback hardly. Might be a tiny spike in the player count during to huge discount sale. Crossplay / console players are keeping this game on life support.

EA had promised before codfield 6's launch to revive BF2042, shamefully not yet happened
before BF6 launch, EA promised to bring back events to unlock limited skins, vehicles and weapons, even new weapons, new vehicles and other features
BF2042 is the better battlefield for sure, but until today they let bleed it out .. for whatever reason *cough*cough* money *cough*

at peak hrs it averages 1-2k even before the sale

I sure hope so, it's a much better game than 6 and anyone who says otherwise needs to get off the hate bandwagon from release and actually play the game to see the state its in

I hate how modern BF players dump on this game. It is actually better than BF6 and I have no interest in BF1 or 5 due to their settings and BF4 is too old and hacker infested/ddos on servers.

"The modern BF players" A lot of us that don't like this pile of poo come from the bad company days along with other earlier titles. It's not a bad fps though. Just doesn't deserve the BF title

I agree, my favorites of all time is 2142 with BF4 second and this third. I was never as into BC2 because of the forced LMG for medic I guess and I was just not gaming much then.
For the time period it is or well was, a good FPS game, but it is quite different than all the other Battlefields, including 6. That being said that is as much a dig on the market as a whole as it is praise for 2042.

This was a solid game. I wrote it off when it came out because it just didn't feel like the Battlefield I was used to, but after a few years and broadening my taste I enjoy 2042 for what it is. I also bought it for like $5 lol. If I want a proper BF experience I go play BF4 or BF1, but this is a fun "chaos" game to just turn your mind off and shoot dudes in. I'd rather play this than CoD any day.
My only complaint is the heavy reliance on bots. It never feels good to kill a bot, I play multiplayer games to compete against people lol, but I just use the breakthrough/conquest menu option and seem to find matches okay. I wouldn't say it's making a comeback, that's kind of a big thing to say, but it has enough sales to keep people going and crossplatform helps a lot too of course. Hard not to recommend for the asking price as long as you aren't looking for a typical BF experience

BF2042 was great it felt good it was smooth and no dsynced like BF6 and u could actually move around without getting shot in the back or by 6 guys constantly

i love the scopes in 2042 so clear and crisp the whole game of BF6 has a blur or grain to it its nasty looking

BF2042 would've been great, however automatic filled lobbies with bots is lame....
