There's been a lot of recent buzz about delisted marvel and transformers games by activision getting updates on steamdb, specifically that store screenshots were added.
On november 14th, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars also got a store screenshot added, the same day as the rest of them.

Now you can view the screenshots added for the marvel and transformers titles, just by swapping out the appid and the filename in the link for the ones on each games respective steamdb page.
Here's the one for spiderman shattered dimensions for example:

But it doesn't seem like you can view the screenshot they added for quake wars the same way.

Some people say this happened to all games that were recently rated for the new German rating system, if so probably nothing, but I still have hope the old Activision games will come back one day, would be stupid of MS to not have more game to put on Game Pass.

Having old games like this is like money in the bank for these companies. I just GoG would go after ET:QW real hard because they usually do a good job restoring the PvP functionality of old games.

Never had that chance myself, it was gone before I even made my steam account. I do have a big box copy, but I really just want to drag my friends into it, which would be easy if I could just gift it to them. They aren't nearly as PC savvy as I am and they don't really bother with physical media these days sadly.

There is no point bring it back without any support. Better make a new one. Maintain all basic aspects and 3-way VoIP, but with modern graphics, more campaigns (at least 6), space campaigns (1 on Mars and 1 on Luna and space stations with respective gravitation) and large battle mode (32x32 or 64x64 with 5 or 6 maps at the beginning).

And while Activision and Bethesda are owned by Microsoft, they still have to find a new developer and recreate all infrastructure. And Microsoft is notorious for destructive acquisition. They mostly acquire to destroy competitors. And same is happening with Activision and Bethesda. Most IP is unused and they developing very little games nowadays.

What infrastructure? They can just put a warning on the store page that only community servers are supported. Literally nobody that even knows about this games existence cares if theres official server or not, we just want it on Steam.

- IP owned by Bethesda's subsidiary id Software. Both of them are now part of Microsoft.
- Publishing rights were owned by Activision, these rights were transferred to Bethesda later on. Both companies owned by Microsoft currently.
- The game developed by Splash Damage with contractual agreement; its involvement with the game expired long ago. Its acquisition by Tencent has no affect on the game's ownership.

And I didn't say that Tencent owns the game. Only that developers no longer working on owners and publishers.

I am glad I bought it in steam. But my husband never did because he had two retail boxes of it. Now we both have steamos on our pc's and he wishes he bought it in steam too. Much easier to get it running. It takes a little tinkering to get it to run with retail dvd. But not impossible. I wish they would put it back in the store.

You don't actually need any retail or Steam copies to play ET:QW online with actual real people. On the weekend they have a few full servers. There are two versions of the game and two corresponding Discord channels. I can post links to the Discord channels if you want to play.

She was talking about just getting the game installed on linux, which definitely is way easier on Steam than any other source especially if you're a new linux user.
The new Steam Family Share lets you play shared games on multiple accounts at once from what I heard so that could work since I don't think this game is ever coming back.
