I wrote to Bethesda/ZeniMax, Splash Damage, id Software, Activision, and Steam.
Bethesda and Splash Damage said that they dont have any control over ETQW on Steam :/
Still waiting for the other ones to respond..

Steam has no email as far as i know. so choose one of the two issues and choose to contact them. Then write them your message.
Let us know if you get some infos.

I have contacted Bethesda some time ago; it wouldn't hurt if more people do the same. Do not bother with Activision and Valve; they have nothing to do with the game.

Splash Damage said that they have no control over ETQW on Steam and that i should contact id Software for this.
I am still waiting (2 days now) for an answer from id Software. Maybe you want to write them a Mail:

Consumer supports aren't known to specialize on copyright and trademark topics; the person that tried to assist you most probably looked "Enemy Territory" part of your query, checked the active games that Bethesda supports, found no result and assumed that is an unrelated game with Bethesda. It may sound ridiculous but you need to inform them about ZeniMax's acquisition of id Software and its IPs including ETQW in 2011.

I replied to the mail from Bethesda. Telling them that ZeniMax Media acquired id Software and the publishing rights to its games in 2009. Which makes them the legal owner of ETQW from 2007. Id Software is also listed as one of its studios on their Website

Asking if they can bring this game back to steam store.
I got the following answer:
We do not have any control over what 3rd party retailers or clients have available for sale. You will need to speak with Steam Support in regards to their inventory and available games.
Seems like i have to wait for an answer from steam or id soft.

Consumer supports that you are dealing with either has no clue what s/he's talking about or pretending that it's a retailer issue. The current position of ETQW is no different than Quake 4; developed by a contracted company, published by Activision; all rights were transferred to Bethesda/ZeniMax after acquisition of id Software. Odd stuff. Even German consumer support of ZeniMax admitted their ownership of IP; check the link I have posted.

I wrote to ID Software over 6 months ago and got no answer.
