So I bought Quake Wars, and I press "Play," then it closes instead of actually letting me play. I download the servers from
SplashDamage.com
, but it does not work. I try downloading the updates, but every folder I try to put it in, it says that it is an insufficient folder. Can someone help? I really want to play this game.

I have heard that some people got it working but i do not know how to fix the game myself, so i can't really help, sorry.

Well I did find some servers through a third party site. Not sure how it works though. Reading the TOS to hopefully understand how it works. Here:

In the server browser webpage mentioned by nathan, you can see a "how to connnect" link next to the server name, go to that url, its a guide to connect and some other links. If you wanna play you should join the discord server to learn more about when people usually connect or troubleshooting.

yeah I bought it from amazon too but I can't even make an account to verify my cd key :((

I've got three original boxed copies and had no problems loading the game and playing offline against the bots. Plus we're going to load the other two copies on some new computers and then LAN them which we've done before with no problems. The Art of Warfare hosts a server you can connect to on Sunday but you need their mod which I'm too lazy to plus they're a bunch of flakes.

I just found out how to play it online. Problem solved.
