Ganz einfach:
Die deutsche Version war auf Liste A indiziert, was bedeutet, dass es nicht mehr öffentlich beworben und verkauft werden darf (unter der Ladentheke).
Die US-Version hingegen stand auf Liste B - und war somit beschlagnahmt. Was soweit geht, dass sogar damals der Zoll entsprechende Sendungen stoppen sollte und es auch, theoretisch, Probleme gab, diese Version auf Twitch zu streamen - außer man hat Glück und es merkt niemand.

Eine Behörde wie die BPjM (heute BzKJ) kann Titel auf Listen setzen wie sie lustig sind. Aber in nem Rechtsstaat kann sie nicht einfach Medien beschlagnahmen - das kann nur ein Gericht. Spoiler: Kein Gericht hat irgendeine Version von RtCW jemals beschlagnahmt.
Meine Güte, es war wirklich noch nie so einfach wie heute, sowas innerhalb von 10 Sekunden zu fact-checken.................. außer natürlich man leidet unter Dunning-Kruger - dann braucht man sowas natürlich nicht.

Over 3 months have passed now. Has there been any progress? The FAQ still doesn‘t reflect the current state. RTCW is now legal in Germany, it‘s just not available (yet) in the German Steam Store, but imho it should not be waited for that to happen.

Untill original RTCW will be unbanned from DE Steam Store RealRTCW cant be released in German Steam Store. This matter was already discussed with Steamworks Support.

Oh! I know that RealRTCW requires RTCW to be installed, but why does it also depend on it to be available in the
German
store? What about players who e.g. have RTCW from another countrys Steam Store in their German account? RealRTCW is free, so it cannot be gifted and those players are stuck.
I suggest to at least update the FAQ to state/include below.
As soon as original RTCW is available in DE Steam Store, RealRTCW will be released there because […].
