Have been playing on Linux "Cachyos" and so far I have managed to play through the campaign with many freezes and I am trying to get through Elite Guard but the freezing has intensified. After some searching and tinkering, I now use
"PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=0 gamescope -w 1728 -h 1080 -W 2560 -H 1440 -f -S stretch -- %command%" and Proton Experimental,
still get freezes, but they now tend to at least be recoverable.....to a point, my GPU is old, gtx-960-ftw 4GB
are there other options that would help with stability? I see I can also specify vulkan or opengl but have not tried yet
I do use some of the HD paks, but I get freezes even with Vanilla content, so I don't think that is the issue
