Found five copies of my config. Two named final, one named final2, and one helpfully called old_new. None had the same binds.

I am starting again with a copy of the setup I actually use, a dated backup outside the game folder, and a small note explaining changes. Not rebuilding everything from a mystery competitive pack. Just making my own choices understandable.

The funny part is that the oldest file had a comment saying I needed to tidy this folder. Past me knew.

old_new is a state of mind.

Mine has a screenshot of the settings menu because I did not trust myself to write the numbers correctly. Low tech, surprisingly useful.

Why not just stop touching it once it works? Half of these problems are self-inflicted.

They are. But changing a keyboard or reinstalling still happens. I want to recover a working setup without guessing which final was final.

Both can be true. Stop changing things for no reason, and keep a backup for the day there is a reason.

Fair. I read it as another complete rebuild for the sake of it. A labelled backup is sensible.

No grand optimisation project, promise. I am retiring old_new with the dignity it deserves.
