I have spent an embarrassing amount of time asking a driver to wait while standing next to the wrong vehicle. Please tell me somebody else has done this.

I got out to help and immediately watched the vehicle leave with everyone except me. That was entirely my plan until it happened.

You have to say you are getting out. We cannot tell whether you are repairing, flanking, or abandoning us on principle.
