Idea, not an event announcement: a short session where newer players can ask where things are without feeling they are holding up a round. Maybe one map, a few routes, then normal play.

I would attend if the emphasis was on getting comfortable rather than memorising every trick. My worry is that experienced people would join, start debating the best route, and accidentally recreate the problem we were trying to solve.

What would make this useful enough to show up for?

A clear end time. I can commit to half an hour more easily than an open-ended training night.

One person teaching, everyone else waits to add things. Otherwise you get six correct explanations and the learner remembers none of them.

Let the new player actually lead the route once. Watching somebody else sprint through it does not tell you whether you can find it yourself.

Do people really need a scheduled session for this? Could just ask while the server is quiet.

Some can. I am thinking about people who do not know who to ask or feel awkward interrupting. A specific invitation makes that easier.

Fair. I was looking at it from the perspective of already knowing everyone.

Then the shape is one map, one guide, short session, learner leads once. Leaving it as a suggestion here until there is actual interest.
