Working on a text-only signature idea. I like subtle lettering, but every time I make it smaller it turns into decorative fuzz. Do you design at full size and shrink it, or start at the size people will actually see?

I check at the final display size early. A design that only works when zoomed in is not much use for a small signature.

Please do not solve it by making the entire signature enormous. Some of us read the forum on small screens.

No giant banner planned. I am trying to fit less into it, not claim more of the page.

Then I would remove a line before reducing the text again. One readable thing usually beats three things people have to squint at.
