is it normal under BF 2042, that the game is nearly unplayable, if you play a map the first time?

I need really help for that issue... I already deleted the cache + repair the game + repair the EA anticheat... But nothing really helped :-(

My system: Intel Xeon W-2255 + 32 GB RAM + AMD RX9070XT...

Have you tried updating your drivers?

I think the game is just loading all the assets & shaders in real time, if its smoother the second round then its done loading everything. DICE games have never had like pre-compilation of literally any assets or shaders until BF6 so games like BF1, BFV and 2042 all need to do it actively. 2042 also had lots of optimisation issues due to the rushed launch so that definitely also hit pretty hard as well.

Stop deleting the cache because it will always stutter. At the beginning of each map it will stutter because it will be writing shaders.

It will happen every time you launch the map for the first time after you updated your graphics drivers/deleted the shader cache. The more you play the game, the better it will be.

It's just downloading all assets to cache during your first time. It will get better afterwards.

I hope so... It is annoying... 🤔

It is not as annoying as experiencing it every month, because the game used to need its cache folder deleted as it was downloading way too much stuff
