This game still plays so damn good. Played all day for father’s day and got nothing but enjoyment out of it. Was finding matches pretty fast as well, balanced teams, good ttk, fun vehicles, feels more immersive than bf6 still, maps feel so much better and i love the larger lobby sizes too. As a day 1 defender of this game, it still feels so good to play 5 years later.

imo it’s light years better than BF6 when it comes to map diversity, AOW, Squad Play, Weapons, Music, Overall Identity.

There is very little, if anything I enjoy about BF6 over 2042.

I try to enjoy bf6 but after a couple matches i realize im not enjoying and am forcing myself to keep playing. 2042 feels more like an actual bf game than 6. Audio, ttk, visibility, skins etc etc.

Maybe in a year bf6 will be great, but 2042 just offer that “damn this feels good” feeling that bf6 doesn’t.

Every BF6 map feels like Haven and I hate the weapons points system. “You can only use thermal scope and silencer on this gun because… reasons.” It’s such a wannabe COD game.

Thats another thing, everyone plays their roles well. I get revived way more in 2042 than bf6. Squads stick together etc. it just feels like bf2042 has more initiatives for playing as a squad and team than bf6. Being able to ping an objective without being squad leader is such a nice feature to have if you have a bad squad leader.

Yea exactly. I liked the being able to swap attachments on the fly based on the situation at hand. I’ve always felt 2042’s maps played pretty well, especially the dlc maps. Redacted and Spearhead being some of my favorites in the franchise. Beautiful maps, with so many players, i love watching the chaos on the ground and the skies. It feels so damn immersive watching the chaos of war.

Right??! It looks more colorful and vibrant. And its easier to spot enemies. Even though everyone the same specialists.

That’s my biggest issue with BF6.

Between the stupid weapon point system, maps with 360 flanks and them completely removing vertically there is no freedom in the game to play how you want. They just force everyone through the gameplay funnel and it’s just soulless and frustrating.

For the life of me I will never understand how BF fans prefer BF6 > 2042, and I’m not talking nice COD fans turns BF, I’m talking OG Battlefield players who prefer AOW and Squad play and vehicles and not tiny infratry only maps

BF2042 is genuinely a lot of fun. It feels like a proper evolved version of BF4. That’s why I expected BF6 to feel like an evolved version of BF2042, but it ended up disappointing me. Even now, BF6 still doesn’t give me the same enjoyment that BF2042 does.

2042 was the last true Battlefield game because it actually took place on proper battlefields not a killbox corridor because some DICE execs realized murder box maps were most played so they turned the entire game into that.

I love Exposure, Orbital and even Breakaway because they were large and every map felt different, unique and fun not “””balance””” centric for sweats.

The netcode has somehow gotten worse in 6 on smaller maps and LESS players. How?????

2042 has far far far superior Squad Mechanics and Gameplay. Totally forgot about the lack of squad ping in BF6.

BF 6 is Terrible…. If there has ever been a game purchase i regret. It is the penultimate.

Like a sucker i bought the “Phantom” edition for Xbox series x…. Took me 2 Days to figure out the game was garbage an i should just go back o good old Maria Falck in 2042… which i did / Have
