I’ve already bought Wardogs after playing about 6 hours of it, I’ll be there once it releases and probably won’t look back at Battlefield. IMO Battlefield lost its way when it started taking out game modes instead of just rolling back problematic changes they made.

Strikepoint was always broken as a game mode but it was still a lot of fun and I met a ton of people who loved playing it. I played it any chance I got and while flawed I loved its take on a search and destroy like gameplay. The fact that it’s still not back in the game many updates later despite many people asking for it shows to me how little they listen to their players.

Even if I ignore that game mode though, their team balancing is horrendous. Out of 10 games I’d say about 7 or 8 have terrible balance. It’s always a landslide victory in one way or another. Not sure how it’s become so hard for them to line up players of similar skill levels to be against each other but it seems like they put them all on one team. Perhaps I just get terrible luck on my team, anyone else experience this?

When they add new guns to the game they make them feel overpowered compared to the rest of the guns. Then when the next set of guns come out nerf them back to balanced? Why not just balance the guns so everyone has a more equal chance without using the most meta weapon? (To be fair a lot of games struggle with this, I’ve noticed it in Arena Breakout Infinite as well.)

People don’t play their roles (support, engineer, recon) effectively and don’t play as a team either. Which is partly the games fault for not incentivizing people enough to do so. Half the time they aren’t playing the objective and are halfway across the map doing their own thing. I’ve noticed a very me first attitude lately which makes it feel a lot less engaging.

Lastly their identity I feel also has lost its way and become a lot like Call of Duty with movement changes and weird skins. Battlefield used to be a more mature military experience with more realistic skins and boots on the ground gameplay. Now when I play, I see people jumping like gazelles and sliding around. There’s a reason I stopped buying COD titles many years ago and I fear this will be the last Battlefield I play for the foreseeable future.

I loved Battlefield ever since Bad Company, but I think going forward it will be something I just look back on semi-fondly and play other games instead. This isn’t meant to be a hit piece, I genuinely have loved the series for years. Not sure if I’m just too old now to understand their vision/direction but it’s becoming a lot less fun to play. Curious what others think about the state of the game lately?

Watched the war dogs gameplay. Looks like a shitty battlefield knockoff without true destruction and the graphics looks like crap. See ya.

No one is going to read all of that.

As for War Dogs and Battlefield: Battlefield has never ever been what War Dogs is as product. Battlefield was never Arma and it never had this Counter Strike system that War Dogs has.

Completely different games.

Cope in the comments show u making the right decision. 1,if you aren't having fun, no need to play. 2, bf6 been broken for a long while and everyone's info denial. Uninstalled yesterday and don't think I'll be returning. So many better games out there with devs that actually care about their games

I too will be making cash in Wardogs next week instead of playing battlefield. It's an actual sandbox experience, Battlefield has kind of lost it's touch. Still fun, but pretty stupid.
