Unpopular opinion maybe? But countermeasures are way OP… these challenges are ridiculous

Yes, but so are the lockon weapons when CM isn’t used. Dodging misslies should be partially physics based, and CM should simply reduce your chances of getting hit, rather than reducing them to zero.

Well there is no other options to defeat lock ons currently, you can't defeat them with maneuver.

The majority of pilots was complaining constantly and still nowadays about how OP AA manpads and mobile AA weapons are, that they buffed the air countermeasures heavily.

So from the majority of the pilots you are the one with the OP gear.

They aren’t op, it’s simply that dice themself doesn’t understand AA launchers. IGLA isn’t meant go get easy kills, it’s meant to force a retreat and deny airspace. Dice simply fucked up making it a challenge to destroy vehicles and not making a “forced countermeasures” challenge.

Just think about it. Why should a no skill auto lock on fire and forget launcher be able to kill aircraft so easy?

What should be done to flares? Remove them completely? Make your shots go even more through flares?

Yep, lock on launchers are a zero skill noob weapon so it should also have a very low reward. To a good pilot a lock on should be a minor annoyance and that's how it is. The challenge needs to be changed

Anti-air is incredibly simple. Lock, make them pop flares, re-lock and fire

Lock-on launchers' main purpose is air superiority denial.

Any competent pilot is going to fly behind terrain or below radar after using countermeasures.

Yep. And thankfully for the sake of the challenge a LOT of pilots are not competent
