Hey everyone,

I’m feeling nostalgic about the good old days when I used to play Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. Back then, there was a very popular server called |Fun|Gold. I really loved that server — the settings made the game fast, smooth, and fun to play. It had a great balance (even if some might have considered it a bit “unbalanced” 😄).

Out of that nostalgia, I wanted to experience those same conditions again. Unfortunately, most of today’s servers feel too rigid… or are completely filled with bots (which I absolutely hate).

So, to fix that, I decided to recreate a server using the same configuration as the old days — and with no bots at all!

As a tribute to the original, I named it the same: |Fun|Gold.

I want to be clear — I’m not trying to impersonate anyone or claim ownership of the old clan. If any former members or admins of the original Fun Clan see this and don’t like that I reused the name, please just let me know.

Anyway, long story short — a |Fun|Gold server is now up and running!

I’m also currently creating a Discord server for it. It will be used to share information about the server, upcoming play times, and to help players reconnect and build a small community again.

I hope to see some players jump in and relive the old-school ET fun again.

For now, after checking the logs, I've noticed several different people connecting to the server. I think quite a few of us still remember this server and would love to see it active again.

I'm going to set up a dedicated Discord server so we can bring the community back together and coordinate our play times. So far, around ten different people have connected to the server.

I tried to recreate the server rules as faithfully as possible to how they were back in the day. I even relied on archived videos from the server's golden era to get the details right.

For example, Adrenaline currently has an 8-second cooldown, whereas back then it was around 3–4 seconds. The main goal here is to bring back the experience people had on this server during its original run.

I understand that this approach won't appeal to everyone, and that's completely fair. But preserving that old-school experience is what this project is all about.
