I utterly hate spawn rushers and flank rushers. particularly because no matter what build or play style I use, which can be varied based on what the situation is if I'm basing an entire team of rushers I'm going to have someone behind me and I'm going to die and while usually that's how it is. I would like to try it to at least have fun while being able to defend against them.

while I am a casual player (I tend not to play these games because I have a nasty competitive streak and prefer to be passive in most games I play) I'm not bad at the game whatsoever. in fact I have some pretty good KD ratios Even on some of the rounds I'm talking about. I'm good enough to be put into maps that are primarily rushers. even if the goal is something like capture the objective or hard point half the team will entirely focus on running in circles.

The type of gun doesn't matter. I've already got the settings in a way that I can play well with. I just need to know what kind of tactics that are best suited to telling them to f\\\* off. I tend not to like these games this one I do like and I would hate to just stop playing the game because the game itself decides it needs to counter my playstyle.

Yeah honestly your up shits creek without a paddle if you think there's a way to get around this sadly. This game is made for those kids who just run into fire fights or flank every play because most people run to the middle of the map shoot a few times die then restart the cycle because someone shot them in the back. You either have to play knowing people are gonna flank you and watch the routes or flip spawns yourself, remember they can't flank you if you flank them. Hoping your teammates gain braincells and stop ape-ing is a slim chance based on my couple hundred hours of gametime in just BO7.

Yeah, I was starting to suspect that I've already got a loadout or two set to Rush headlong in a battle. Think the primary one I'm going to use for that will be the Maelstrom with the recon perks and maybe something to try and keep them off my back and the tactical insertion

Hell yeah get 'er going, honestly I say this to a bunch of my friends who get mad that other people play around their play style and I just tell them learn to change your play style based on map and people your facing not how you think it should play because everyone and every match is different so always adapt and never get comfortable in one situation.

By the way, when do you think they're going to fix the whole latency issue with Black ops 7? I own it but I decided not to play until my shots actually register.

Honestly who knows they haven't really talked about it and I haven't seen anything on the trello board about latency issues so it's hard to say. Gotta find out if it's a bug or just par for the course at this point with all the other bugs like chat being disconnected ever other match things like that.

Yeah it's weird. I haven't seen anyone else mention either but it's either latency or something that makes it so that everything looks like a freeze frame as I walk through the map

It could also be they've connected you to a far server and it's just being awful for that reason. There's so many possibilities when it comes to latency and or frames it's insane to try and guess seriously.

Never been that big of an issue. Do you have headphones or play with the volume on high enough? You just gotta check behind you every so often. Im just not really understanding how you keep dying from it if you expect it. Play on low sens?

I don't play on low sensitivity. I primarily use single shot weapons like sniper rifles, shotguns. Marksman rifles(so quite the opposite. It's near maxed out). Although I have loadouts for every situation including SMGs and one for an assault rifle. The main thing is the fact that these guys aren't just bum rushing in One direction. I spawn in and get ganged up on by like three dudes at once. Each coming from three directions I turn around. There's one in front of me one next me one behind me. I turn around again Same thing.

And at the point where the game keeps putting me it's not just one dude. Even if I turn around and take out one dude, there's going to be like three more. They're never alone ever. I found a build that is pretty useful against them. At least using the tactical insertion. I can slip behind them if they kill me and surprise them with the Maelstrom. On top of that I'm seeing more and more of them start to put down turrets at random places just because they can so I used perks that make it so that traps score streaks and tracking perks don't affect me. Even then these guys are relentless.

I mean this in the nicest way possible but this isn’t the game for you. You have to move quickly and be aggressive or you’re getting ganked. One tip that I would suggest is just play hardcore in small maps to get an idea of how the map paging works and where people will be hiding and appearing and then get the feel of how you can play more passively. This game is fast and intense and is basically run and die until one gets better at it.

So the primary reason I play this game is because I play passively in other games, it's sort of a way to get rid of unneeded aggression. As such, the first weapon I got gold on and later diamond was literally a sniper rifle. I built to be more accurate while walking because I didn't want to stay in one place. I tried hardcore. It turns out my particular love of explosives makes it really difficult for me to live long. It was fun though a great test of the high explosive attachments.

I was mainly asking because like I said in another comment It's not like one dude. Bum rushing it's multiple and I need a way of being able to do anything against them. At this point the second I spawn in on any part of the map there's someone waiting for me.

Interestingly enough, I do tend to take breaks from the game. Especially when the matchmaking decides to pull a corporate s*** and put me in games It knows I will lose (look it up. It's a thing apparently losing streaks make people play the game for longer)

Maybe you just need to run overkill with an AR or something. There's always going to be flankers, it shouldn't be a huge issue. Maybe invest in a nice headset so you can hear them better?
