[COD] “It’s a copy paste game” is not a real criticism that should concern or detract someone from buying a videogame

Especially a cod game. what the fuck are you trying to say with that shit? Are you pining for a tactical shooter? Are you yearning for a fighting game? it’s a score based arena shooter if I had to describe it simply. it’s the same shit quake was back in its day. It’s faster than the last of us, slower then gran turismo. Such a fucking stupid phrase trend.

It's only a copy paste game for someone who buys them every year. It's better to pick a favorite studio, play their latest title then wait for a couple of years until another one comes out. Feels fresh every time

As someone who hasn’t played a MW since mw19 I’m very hyped and enjoyed the beta a lot, I played both bo6 and bo7 so my black ops fatigue hit perfectly to prepare for mw4.

I understand your frustration with the phrase. But I feel like you’re purposely misunderstanding their point. It isn’t that they’re expecting or hoping for an entirely different game each sequel, but rather the changes they keep making harm the player.

The best way to put it is, if they sold you the perfect cod game, you wouldn’t buy it the next year.

So you won’t get the perfect cod game. They sell you the same game as they have before with one step forward, a step players want, and then two steps backwards so you hope it’s fixed in the next cod game. And you’re lowkey posting on reddit boot licking a trillion dollar company.

I play cod too but get a grip my guy like genuinely

All modern cods are too similar to justify the full price tag

The games could literally be MWII DLC packs. The copy and paste comes from the fact that MWII onwards all feels and looks similar, I suspect the unified engine and all the devs working on all the games is at fault here.

Thats my opinion anyways. The games felt different and more unique when it was 1 studio and their own engine sku, and that's what we need to go back to IMO.

Cold War was the last arcade feeling (COD4-BO4) game and it wasn't on IWs sku (IW8) of the engine....

I never buyed a single cod since bo4.
I played a few rounds on cold war as it was free in ps+ and i played the free bo7 weekend.

Cod IS a cooy past game. They literally have half of the streaks i remember back from 10years ago in the game.
Also i know half of the maps as they are just remakes from fans favourites.
Do we even need to talk about the menu? This looks since warzone the same every year.
Also the graphics. From the trailers i see the opric is the same every year. Look back to the golden era of cod, every studio had a unique style

Every CoD game is a copy and paste to an extent. Very rarely does the gameplay actually change by a dramatic amount. Exos ans Tac-Sprint have been the only major changes the franchise has seen.

I remember when they all had a theme in the graphics too, theyre always on the same engine looking the exact same that unless you know every map on the games and know which cod they belong to you genuinely wouldnt be able to tell 2 games apart, like bo6 is 1990s bo7 is set in 2035 I think, but graphics wise it just the exact same dull colors, just bo6 but with future weapons and futuristic maps while the graphics themselves look the exact same, like genuinely what the hell is the point of even buying cods anymore when literally all its gonna be is just same graphics, same bullshit loadout system but different setting, not worth buying for campaigns anymore since theyve destroyed those entirely like bo7s campaign, remember when cod would actually get dark with the games? They don't even do that now since theyre too afraid to offend people and zombies is always round based. Always goddamn round based on oversized maps with Easter eggs that are so annoying you give up or so easy you feel like you got fucked over. Cod is kinda copy and paste though now. Like they used to do new things like ghosts and advanced warfare, from 2019 to 2026 yk how many cods that werent modern warfare or black ops? 1, vanguard is the only one but even then it was just ANOTHER ww2 cod but honestly cod needs smth new not another modern warfare or black ops, no one even fucking asked for the modern warfare reboot thats ruined the originals legacy and guns will be literally the same from other games along with other stuff. Its hard to not call things copy paste when theres reused weapons, animations voicelines, same universes instead of actually experimenting with new universes, having only 1 cod for 6 years straight that isnt black ops or cold war, loadouts barely changing, etc. Like cods meta is always just movement or suffer from movement demons and oh yeah did i add the part where rocket is literally fucking useless in mw3 since his voicelines are just the ranger operator from mw2 who note is in mw3 and feels like rocket was mainly meant to exist to be the starter character for mwz. And they keep trying to warzoneify everything in these games to where each cod is just a warzone dlc since they always continue stories through it

In this case with MW4, they LITERALLY copied MWII and added maps, guns, operators, and a slide cancel; when we were told it would "be on a new engine" which was flat out not true.
