I'm a huge sweat and recently out of boredom decided to try a challenge where I play solo vs quads (battle royal quads with squad fill off)

I took to youtube to study some top players what strategies they utilize to beat this mode in that fashion

Every video I come across they NEVER run into an actual 4 stack or even 4 randoms that keep decent spacing ( 4 people working together even a little bit )

Every time I play - I always encounter actual 4 stacks - they throw utility at me and push together. They use UAV. They have decent custom loadouts. They don't all walk into an open field looking the other way and let me shoot them one at a time. Its just 4 guys always pushing me and they are intelligent to understand im probably alone and 4 guns beat 1 gun.

How the fuck do these youtube guys always manage to fight 1vs1 or at most 1vs2 - they NEVER encounter 4 guys at once.

I litterally just picked 10 random 'solo vs quads' videos and fast forwarded to the final 3 minutes and it was ALL just solo fights. There wasn't a single match where the final circle had a 4 stack holding high ground or decent angles - there wasn't a single match where the streamer had to push against 4 people at once in the final circle.

In my matches that NEVER fucking happens, the last 2 or 3 teams are always 4 people working together in some type of fashion.

You do realize that posted video content that is successful, meaning that it comes up in searches from popular sites, needs to show achievements and not failures in order for content creators to have a better chance of their videos being successful?

2box is a big thing and videos are never really "meaningful". They play the whole day/days for a video and at some point, you get a good video/bad enemies etc. Its alot of luck aswell and 1v4 plays alot of different then like 4v4 or so. You need to split the enemies apart, kill them quick, recover, next one etc.
You need to play it "alot" to get the flow. Just keep playing it (if you want) and at some point you will get it, as along as you are good enough.

Out of interest are you N/A or EU?

They have accounts with terrible stats that they queue into quads with and then have said accounts just leave the lobby, if you watch streams it’s why they hide their game screen till they are in a match…total cuck behavior

So SBMM takes the average of the players in the party and puts them into that lobby.

Streamers will get 2-3 other systems or consoles and have them join the party lobby. Then when they join a game, they disconnect the other systems or consoles, and they’ll now be a solo in quads but it will have taken the average of the four and put them in an easier lobby.

It’s also why you’ll see some streamers do spectator type content, they’re getting whatever metric SBMM down so they get easier lobbies.

If you see a streamer go into the loadout screen, firing range, or store, it’s because they’re hiding the 2boxing.

Once their 2 box luck runs out and actually run into a competent squad they actually die like the rest of us.

Then proceed to accuse the squad of being “lame quad stackers”.

Yeah because almost every single person on Youtube who is playing solo quads is two boxing.

They are basically playing a completely different game, they are competing against complete noobs and disabled kids.

The people posting those videos probably play the game as a career rather than just an enthusiast's hobby. Knowing how to pick your fights comes with practice, and for the most part it probably just comes down to the fact that they’ve got more experience doing it. Plus, edited videos like that would likely only include curated clips so they could be posting their best game out of 10-20 or more that they played that day.

There used to be a VPN trick you could use, where it would put you in the matches with the best ping as opposed to waiting for a SBMM lobby. You would often get put in lobbies with very low skill level opponents, making these clips easy to get. Not sure if it's still possible now, but probably.

Aside from 2 boxing, I am guessing Asia has a higher percentage of sweats. I get the feeling way more % of lower skill players left, leaving the stacked coordinated teams.
