Hi, I reccently started to make CS2 POV videos and I have a big problem.
My videos are not as smooth as other I see on YouTube, in fact, they look a bit laggy/shaky. My YT channel: TaKar CS2 (I can't put links)

I never go under 60fps while recording. I start the game with HLAE and record with OBS, and I tried everything:

\- Every OBS config

\- Every HLAE command

\- \[...\]

I don’t know how to achieve that perfectly smooth look in demos. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Old school 120 or 240 screenshot, install virtualdub and convert to avi, insert to movie making software. A few extra steps and there is prolly better ways but thats how i get smooth clips. ;-)

You switch the host timescale to half and record the demo at half the speed. Then switch it back up at 100% in post-prod. I think that's what I remember from some youtube tutorials I watched some years ago

Yes, but the problem with that is the audio:

When you record at 0.5 speed and then you switch to normal speed in Premier, the audio sounds way different. So you have to record at normal speed just to have the audio, and then you sync it with the video.

The thing is I record long multiple POVs (so I don’t miss any kills), so I would have to record all the POVs at normal speed and then sync the audio in Premiere.
That would be very tedious and also quite problematic, since it would be difficult to sync the audio perfectly.

If I’m misunderstanding something, please correct me.

I can't remember from the top of my head the tutorials I watched when I tried editing but it was great. I'll try to find the chanel when I get home for you

Yeah, Fraps felt godlike after that. Then you just slowed down the gameplay to 1/4 of the speed and just sped it up on Video Vegas or Premiere.

tf does POV mean in this context? CS is always played in first person

is it possible u might be watching vids with a bit of RSMB or other motion blur added? that's the main culprit i see when ppl say "yooo why is ur game so smooth" in any footage w it on vs off
