I’m fairly new to cs premier (200-300hrs) and would like some generalised tips to help me climb out of low elo. I am only 3-4k and currently have around 50 percent win rate, so would appreciate some tips.

Post your most recent demo that you took serious but lost (preferably on a tactical map like dust2, mirage or nuke) and we can take a look at where you have issues to improve upon.

Honestly at that level you really just need to work on aim and understand the basic strats of each map. It helps to watch streamers but if you watch someone too high level you won’t really understand the plays they make. I would also recommend trying to find a group of people to play with as you can all improve together and give each other feedback. Constantly solo queueing won’t get you any valuable feedback and only people flaming each other.

drill your mechanics, spam community deathmatch and duels until youre confident you can win every even duel in your premier.

learn a few maps (callouts, angles, timings, basic util if you want) and work on aim (dm, prefire maps) and movement (mostly counterstrafing and getting around the map efficiently).

watch how wallers play on youtube(like closet cheaters) and try to copy that. BUT DONT DOWNLOAD WALLS. That’s the best way for me to explain it. If you just “believe” you know where the person is you will start pre aiming more and thinking about headshot placement.

89 aim rating, 20k elo. 2500 hours.

your win rates prolly always going to be 50% bcos it’s skill based so as you win it goes up and u lose. don’t worry about win rate. just play play play. and if you want to train out with playing actual games then go on refrag.gg - and tbh id play faceit. mm is full of hackers and face it is fun you’ll improve quicker

Ive drilled all imaginable ways of practice. I feel confident when isolating mechanics, but it all falls apart in the real game. Sometimes it works but I perform extremely inconsistently. I'll carry games one day and the next im bottomfragging and worthless and getting told to uninstall the game basically.

I feel like isolated practice doesn't directly do anything at all in the end. Mechanics need to exist as a foundation but applying them in high stakes situations is another thing. And my brain seems to simply not be able to do that no matter how much i try. Prob isn't like this for most tho and im just retarded.

i'm not good enough to give you advice on this yet. i carried myself from 6k to 14k in one month by playing aggressive roles and winning 90% of my opening duels, but 15k+ feels like a wall to me

if you can carry yourself out of that rank you're better than me. And i played the last two season at 16-18k. I started this season there too and then fell to bottom at 7k. I still can't carry games. Lots of games im getting rekt in duels and i don't even understand why. I'm that shit, yet somehow i was in purple rank. I guess my mechanics (that sometimes work) made it possible but other than that im utterly brainless. My last game i bottomfragged the whole server in a 8k game.

So yeah if ppl like me can be in purple, you definitely can.
