They are often trying to monetise mods in a way that benefits them the most rather than benefits the mod creators the most sometimes in ways that both makes it worse for mod creators and users (see the donation points controversy that would inherintly begin pushing creators into having to split their mods into smaller and smaller parts just to keep relevant for DP within mod lists). We are expecting them to begin trying to monetise SteamDB in a way that doesnt benefit the users.

Flopathon was vibecoded as hate page for marathon by a dude that is using it now only to have some extra clicks on his AI vibecoded porn game (the one he highlight as indie spotlight), he left it literally abandoned for months and only started working on it again when news about nexus aquisition.
