Hey everyone! I've been on an Ancient Near East binge-reading books about ancient Mesopotamian history and mythology, and I was wondering if anyone had any gaming recommendations that would complement that topic :)

For instance, I've already played La-Mulana 1 & 2 (they're hard, but I highly recommend them if you're into metroidvanias and mythology), and I'm soon going to try Chants of Senaar which I may really enjoy!

What else could I try?

Prince of Persia series could maybe fit that style even if just for aesthetics mainly

Axiom Verge 2 seems to be what you're looking for (completely detactched from the first Axiom Verge, so no harm in playing it first)

I think Assassin's Creed Mirage is set in Iraq. Also one of the shorter games.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes largely takes place in early '00s Iraq, but is essentially a horror story dealing with soldiers finding the ruins of an Akkadian temple.

In Civilization 6 you can play as Gilgamesh (or Gigachad) who was ruler of „Sumerian“

Oh my God, that's \exactly\ something I was looking for! I don't think I'm into city builders, but I'll definitely enjoy this one for the immersion! Thanks!
